Anyone know of good mage followers that can be found outside of Winterhold College? I figured it would be rather redundant for me to get a melee follower when that's the path i'm focusing on.
There's one you can get from the quest that involves Dawnstar's Nightmares

I have about 10 Louises hanging about the stable. They made stealing off the real Louis for the Theives Guild an ENORMOUS pain in the ass.
Why is the description in another language? It's the only book/spell that's like that. [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/651004031719391577/44CA3D176A287C301A7DCECEAC9B5E02736E2C7D/[/t]

You'll get a sweet staff(its a Wall of Fire staff I think) and a very powerful follower. Oh and if you choose to her you'll need this http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=7245 She has a bug that makes her refuse to follow you after you dismiss her.

Much appreciated that you showed it to me. [editline]30th January 2012[/editline] Had some really intense fights with PISE and Duel - Combat Enhancement installed. Mages are actually really dangerous to me now. Decided to go without companions to see how fun it'd be. At Sunderstone Gorge, the Necromage that was guarding the entrance was actually rather effectively kiting me by constantly sapping my stamina. It took clever use of my unrelenting force shout to knock him into a corner, then closing in on him and constantly staggering him so he didn't get away again. The mages inside were even nastier; tight corridors and firebolts were painful as hell. One fire adept died when I dropped a flaming pot on his head along with a few arrows to the face, the second when I ignited the oil on the ground (actually, that didn't kill her, backpedalling into the trigger for a spike wall slammer did). The third was more difficult; no oil, pots or traps near him, and he had command of the narrow corridor leading to him. Had to weave in and out of cover to get to him and introduce him to the fine edge of my crusader's sword (Jayzus' swords are really purdy, but a tad unbalanced compared to vanilla damage values for the Steel tier. That having been said, the relative rarity of some of the materials required for them does go a good way to balancing them without a strict restriction to one of the armour tiers).
On the previous page, summoning circles and day long followers were mentioned. had the idea of maybe in a certain month, blood moon maybe, with a human heart you could summon daedra of something. thing gave me the idea of being able to perform the black sacrement on people at early levels. Like Nazeem.

Also, because I'm a colossal nerd, I am doing a playthrough of Skyrim in French to er... help with my degree. Amazingly, they've even translated most of the NPC names and city names into French equivalents where they could do it. 'Faillaise' and 'Blancherive' sounds much sexier then 'Riften' and 'Whiterun'
J'zargo got killed by a dragon and I'm sad about it he was my favourite character in the Winterhold :frown:
J'zargo got killed by a dragon and I'm sad about it he was my favourite character in the Winterhold :frown:
Why do alot of people like J'zargo anyway, I like Kharjo better, because he isn't being a competitive dick as soon as you meet him. And the fact that Kharjo doesn't try to get you into any situations that would be selfish for Kharjo.
Why do alot of people like J'zargo anyway, I like Kharjo better, because he isn't being a competitive dick as soon as you meet him.
having a single personality trait gives him infinitely more depth than most companions
I like M'aiq, he once killed a dragon with his teeth, you know.

And the fact that Kharjo doesn't try to get you into any situations that would be selfish for Kharjo.
Yeah, Kharjo is a total bro. After his quest I'd just be on my way to kill a dragon and I'd bump into their trading caravan on the middle of the road. I'd be like: 'yo Kharjo let's go kill this dragon' and he'd be like: 'yeah let's go'. Good times.
Speaking of Kharjo, I finally ditched Lydia for him. Even went ahead with the much-needed companion armor upgrades so that he's wearing full Legendary ebony.
Uh, is there any way to summon your companion to you? Or do I have to spawn a new person? If so how would I do that? Is there a way to raise my archery skill without raising my level? Sorry for all the questions, just, I don't know where Lydia is and I could use her in some fights as I'm trying to level Archery, and it's hard since Arrows don't seem to do much damage at lower levels.
Really loving this Dawnbreaker sword. Absolutely rapes undead. Few problems: 1: Requires ebony ingots to upgrade 2: Needs arcane smithing perk to upgrade 3: The undead rape explosion has a tendency to send small loot pieces flying all over the place Considering that it's base damage is 1 short of ebony, and it's got 10 fire damage to everything, never minding the undead rape explosion, it's a sword I think i'll probably use for my entire playthrough. Once I get the arcane smithing, it'll be even more rapey.

I wouldn't like to use mods with sexual content on a Steam game because I can't help but think that Gabe watches every game I play on Steam personally.

Bringing Meridia's light to the deepest reaches of Ustengrav. Does anyone know of a command that slows down time in the game? EDIT: Speaking of Meridia, I think i'll have my character roleplay as her loyal champion or whatnot. Will keep the Dwemer armour (as it suits the sword's colour so well), enchant and name it accordingly. Gonna have to find Spellbreaker as well, infinitely useful against mages.
make the adoring fan he was a bosmer wasn't he?
Don't you ever utter those 2 unholy words ever again. [sp]In the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, during The Dark Brotherhood questline, the player will come across a book entitled "Cicero's Journal Vol. 1", that belongs to the assassin Cicero . In this Journal is a detailed report of an assassination contract where Cicero disguised himself as an Arena fan in the Imperial City, in an attempt to accompany, and then assassinate, the Grand Champion while escorting him through the forest. This is a clear reference to the adoring fan. [/sp]
