You know, something about the beginning of the game has always bugged me...why didn't everyone just hop out of the carts and make a run for it? There was nothing holding them down, and all of the Stormcloaks seem to get out of those hand bindings in the middle of a warzone awfully fast.

Just once. That way they'll realize that these swords would weigh about as much as a horse in real life.

They got their bindings off during the attack presumably because the guards were far more concerned about the dragon.

Or the unarmed villagers walking by?
Yeah, Kharjo is a total bro. After his quest I'd just be on my way to kill a dragon and I'd bump into their trading caravan on the middle of the road. I'd be like: 'yo Kharjo let's go kill this dragon' and he'd be like: 'yeah let's go'. Good times.
I remember when I accepted his mission. "Do be careful. The amulet is priceless, but a life can not so easily be replaced." Classy motherfucker. I keep forgetting that in this universe it's accepted that places like Sovengarde are real things.
Kind of a shitty thing that the player is forced to make the same decision though. If I were going to be executed, my last conscious action would be attempting to stick my thumbs in the axeman's eyes.

It's a fictional world, but not an anime androgynous wonderland where there are swords bigger than the people holding them. Keeping this in sword related matters the ones in skyrim make a lot more sense/are somewhat practical. The same "realism" you're talking about doesn't exist in whatever final fantasy (?) game either.
Is there a sweet place out in the world I can convert into my museum to house all the unique items I've come across? I found a dwemer storage house that's cool but it's really small and not big enough. I want something moderately sized, but no sprawling cave system kind of size. I was hoping maybe i could use the thalmor embassy but you get locked out of there after the quest. I also found a pretty small bandit hideout in a cave on a lake but there's not really anywhere to place down my items. Suggestions?
Uhg, anyone who says that there aren't enough dragons in this game (like a few major reviewers) is on the good skooma. So I decide to finally do the Temple of Mara quests in Riften. >Travel to Riften. Dragon outside. >Travel to Ivarstead. Dragon. >Travel to Markarth. Dragon. >Stop by Solitude for another quest. Two dragons. >Travel to the monument outside Whiterun. THREE dragons plus Alduin! At this rate the entire Imperial Legion should be wearing dragonplate armor in four months' time. Cue Courage saying "Oh, the things I do for love."
And walking dead, dragons, shooting fire out your hands while having a giant ice monster fight with you is totally realistic right?
There are in-universe rules. And then there is common sense. In a work of fiction, a universe is assumed to be identical to our own except where mentioned.
i love Cicero's voice and attitude, i feel like the person who've done him did a very good job but his face looks kinda bland while saying it when it should be angry

Bethesda: Okay. So let's remove ALL facial animation except lipsync. We're too busy crafting dragons and Norway to worry about anything else.
Who's to say what can and can't go in a fantasy world, if that sword was re-textured to look like part of the game it wouldn't look silly,
yes, it would. TES has a well-established universe. Swords like that would look as ridiculous to the people of Skyrim as they do to us. I don't hate on Final Fantasy for having huge swords, because in those games huge swords are set out to be believable and common (to a degree.) Now, people are allowed to modify their game however they want - but by the same token, I'm allowed to call those modifications fucking stupid. Just because it's a "fantasy world" doesn't mean anything goes. Why not add huge swords to Grand Theft Auto?
Anyone else just get an update?
no
Uh, is there any way to summon your companion to you? Or do I have to spawn a new person? If so how would I do that? Is there a way to raise my archery skill without raising my level? Sorry for all the questions, just, I don't know where Lydia is and I could use her in some fights as I'm trying to level Archery, and it's hard since Arrows don't seem to do much damage at lower levels. .
Yes there is, first search the character in the wikis or whatever, find the REF ID. Once that is found, open console and type prid 000A2C94 (Lydia's Ref ID) Now that is done, type in console moveto player If your companion is dead, take the stuff off the body and then type resurrect on their dead body. People say if you do resurrect 1 you don't have to take the stuff off their body, but I found that doesn't work. Enjoy your companion!
I've been holding out installing mods until it comes to steam, I know I'm a bit daft to do this but it seems to be the safer bet. Any news on when this is happening? Has it happened, am I blind?
Seeing that picture with the bigass sword made me think that someone should make a Monster Hunter mod when the CK comes out. And from a distance I thought the sword looked pretty neat, but looking closer, I noticed all the unsmoothed polygons, which just looks damn sloppy. The shapes and whatnot are cool, though. Just really, really out of place in skyrim, but maybe in a Monster Hunter mod.
