I was just thinking about the multiplayer mod, and I just noticed a huge flaw. The game can't be paused. So drinking potions or switching spells/weapons in the middle of combat will be impossible.

Much better title and OP. Does anyone else get a depressing vibe from the cities apart from Whiterun? They all seem so miserable, or run down, or are stricken by some big issue (eg. corruption, ghettos, forsworn), and have a good few dickhead characters in them.

I am getting a strange CTD lately without any notification. Whenever I try to enter Windhelm the game crashes to desktop. Has this happened to anyone else? Fast Travelling anywhere else works fine and Validating Game files or teleporting there via console hasnt worked. Any ideas?

Ive started a new build, and i'm playing as an illusion specialist, majoring in Destruction, Illusion, Alteration and Sneak. What should I be wielding constantly? Right now in my left hand I have a destruction/illusion spell, and in my right hand a dagger/sword/staff. I am level 6. Any suggestions on changes I should make?

I'd just prefer the towns to be (largely) a hospitable place to go after you've been out questing. But I go to Riften for the first time and I've had three people force me into conversation, on every occasion shoving corruption in my face. Oblivion's cities were awfully bland but nice and pleasant to be in, and largely waited for you to nose around before starting a quest on you.

The architecture is nice, but I'd like to perform a second purge on that city. And if you plan on doing any serious modding use the mod manager. It's far more stable then it used to be and there isn't any problems with the performance enhancer, just start the game from a shortcut like you would anyways. Especially if you're going to use texture mods because there are a thousand out right now instead of the end all 5 gigabyte super pack that will probably be compiled later.

Fuck. I can't even start the game. After I reinstalled, I installed some mods, they worked fine. Now, after I deleted d3d9.dll so my saves could work, it's not even launching. I tried reinstalling ENB, nothing. I have the latest DX redist, and I have verified game cache. [b]god damnit[/b]
