I asked in the last thread and I'll ask again. After the LAA patch some sounds won't play, like music and sheating weapons, also swinging. I use RealTek drivers, but nothing's plugged in on those panels anyway, I use a headset on my analog frontpanel. Is there ANYTHING I can do or do I have to wait until another patch? I've googled and tried solutions like changing audio quality and such. Also updated drivers and more. Is there any other way? Nothing's working.
wow i put 80 hours into this game and i didn't even know falkreath existed
But at the same time, it adds a under-contrasted haze and blur over everything. The contrast in fine details is gone. I'm just looking for something that adds more colour and doesn't fuck with the contrast. That second picture, to me, looks hideous.
That's the bloom that's put into the game using ENB. It overrides the games original post processing with the ones used in the enbconfig file. Your best bet is to get FXAA since all it does is put a filter over your game.
Focusing on Conjuration with my high level Breton character now. Does the Mystic Binding perk make Bound Weapons worthwhile? Because as much as I love using them, they have a damage rating of about 20.
Ah, I'll look into it. Thanks.
You could always re-enable the games original post processing, but I suggest turning bloom to 0 in the config so that you don't get 2 instances of bloom going at once. Trust me, shit gets downright weird.
Anyone who has not installed TESV acceleration layer, do it fucking now. My vanilla skyrim ran about 25FPS on all maximum settings, 1080p. My modded skyrim with TESV acceleration layer runs like 40FPS on all maximum settings, 1080p... WITH ALL OF THESE + YADDA'S ENB SETTINGS
My Game is running slow, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyway, here are my specs: [editline]This post hasn't been edited![/editline]
1..6Ghz Processor. 1 gig or Ram. Little lag to none at lowest settings. Come at me broski's.
You can run pretty much any game on a netbook as long as it is on the worst possible settings, making the game look a lot worse.
Does it still work if you're using NMM and SKSE?
It should although I wouldn't recommend installing with NMM. Actually I wouldn't recommend downloading it from the nexus at all. I believe there are, or at least used to be vital folders that needed to be in the skyrim/src folder and not in data. The version on the official bethsoft forum thread is always more up to date. There were also a few user created experimental versions with better performance and bugfixes. When/If skyrim updates for the creation kit, I would recommend checking there for the new version first. Seriously though, if you're not getting the accelerator working or it's not as good as you hoped, try skyboost. http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1326816-skyboost-topic-3/
Do I just drop the files in the main Skyrim directory?
Pretty much. For convenience I suggest making a folder called asi and moving everything inside the bin folder to asi. Most people who make mods with script dragon put their files in a folder called asi, so in the future you won't have to move anything. Just as long as dinput8.dll and skyboost.asi are together, it should work fine. Make sure you uninstall the accelerator before you run skyboost as they do the same thing and for some reason that just doesn't work together. There's a way to check if it's working correctly if you're not sure.
I have no idea what's causing this, but for some reason Skyrim won't load up, it's just stuck there on the "Preparing to launch" prompt. [editline]4th January 2012[/editline] Never mind, it magically decided to work after I restarted Steam.
Does anyone with an ATI card (or not, not sure if it matters) know if when setting Anisotropic Filtering through drivers, should I also set in game AF to 0? Same thing for anti aliasing and transparency multisampling. I assume catalyst would override what is in the ini, but it seems like I get better performance when the in game settings are disabled and applied with catalyst so maybe they just overlap. [editline]4th January 2012[/editline] Shit, didn't mean to start a new post.

Not sure if this has been posted before but has anyone run into the giant mudcrab? (It's not an actual enemy) you can see the husk of what was left of it. It's a little south-east of the Gjukar's Monument. If I could take a screenshot I would but I'm playing on the console version.
I just realized that the land of Nirn is the inspiration of Earth.
That's right folks, this video game series inspired God to create Earth.
TES' are just the story how this world came to be. Shit if that's true then this is just a dre
Is it possible to make a huge party of followers (for a minute or two) using these methods? Reanimating two conjurers' corpses with Dead Thrall spell and Twin Souls perk Casting the Sanguine Rose A conventional follower Spectral Assassin ? [editline]4th January 2012[/editline] Oh and a dog.
Morrowind let you do it. When you killed a quest character, it basically said "Yo, you fucked up. Load a previous saved game or continue with your now broken one." Less hand-holding please. If I fuck up in a open-world RPG, make me feel the consequences of my actions.
There are even less game breaking alternatives too. After I joined the stormcloaks (don't blame me) I found an imperial camp and raided it by myself. However the commander there was marked as essential and wouldn't die. Why couldn't they either a) realise I will never interact with imperial generals or b) just spawn a new general when I need to talk to one?

Can the Abandoned House with that House of Horrors quest be used to safely store items?
TES' are just the story how this world came to be. Shit if that's true then this is just a dre
I've always liked to think that Nirn is actually this earth 200 million years into the future, where all of Europe and America have merged again to form a Pangea like continent, long after civilised human life was destroyed and buried. Lizards and cats evolved into humanoids, etc. It'd work if not for evidence the gods actually exist.
Ah, I'll look into it. Thanks.
I still use this: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=240 Though, I really haven't bothered to look into other FXAA mods, so there could be better ones out there.
Summerset Isle must look like Great Britain.
hahaha what it looks more like france with part of the east cut out

If I want to be a overlord of destruction who burns down villages and cities and leave no one alive let me damn it.

Right, I'm about to start a new character after a long break from this game. Is Archery any good?
I started new characters a lot in Oblivion, because you had to pick stats and make important decisions so early in the game...but this time in Skyrim, instead of re-rolling, I plan to tackle different skill trees once I get pretty far in a select few. I'm working on Destruction, Conjuration, and Restoration, but plan to shift my character to Archery, One-Handed, and Sneak once I finish the main quest and the College of Winterhold. It may or may not work...I'm going to try it out.
