I killed all of the khajits in the camps all over skyrim, cause fuck khajits. nords 4 life
B-brother..? But yeah, that's exactly what my brother did. He hates khajiits and went on an extermination expedition.
Am I the only one who found the guild questlines really short? I seem to remember Oblivion's being much longer.
Not only are they short, but they are not too fulfilling. In this sense, the Dark Brotherhood quests feel the most like Oblivion's quests. The contracts are interwoven with the underlying major Dark Brotherhood quest, perhaps a bit short but still feels fulfilling. It would be nice if they had a quest where you had to reform the Black Hand ([sp]Of course you're the Listener and Nazir the speaker. Maybe Babette the new Keeper if you killed Cicero? Otherwise, some other position[/sp]). The Companions feels real quick. It feels like you join one day and the next you're Harbinger. You barely have any real chance to feel like you're one with the other Companion members. There's no side quests or favors to do for the other Companions no real conflict among them. In the end, it feels really odd that your character gets to be Harbinger given how little you actually go through. I mean, why not have little missions with the other Companions members? Like sorting Torvar's drunken ass out for the sake of the Companion's image; or accompany someone (Athis, Ria, Nada, or Torvar) in protecting a Khajiit caravan from bandits. Mini-quests that make you feel like you are part of a brotherhood that fulfills contracts and is closely knit in battle. The main Thieves Guild quest barely feels like you're thieves. Compare Oblivion's "heist of the century with the Gray Fox" to [sp]NIGHTENGALE TREACHERY![/sp]: they don't compare. There were no real moments where you felt like a true thief. The [sp]Nightengale[/sp] idea was okay, but expand on the thievery aspect of the guild. A lot of the main guild quest can be done guns blazing (guess that'd be 'swords raging' or 'arrows blazing'). Granted they do have the missions provided by Vex and that other fellow that do more thief-like business, but the main guild quest should share those aspects. Then, even when you are a [sp]Nightengale[/sp] you never really have fulfill your duties of [sp]protecting the Sepulcher[/sp]. Why not have some Legion official or some powerful group trying to [sp]enter the Sepulcher and exploit it?[/sp] or those Vigilant of Stendarr folk coming to [sp]Kill Nocturnal by entering her realm[/sp]? Then it would be up to you to probably frame them against their superiors or even hide among them and sow the seeds of discontent by stealing items from people and planting it on others making the party destroy themselves and [sp]defending the Sepulcher[/sp] in the process. The College of Winterhold quests are probably the worst and possibly even the shortest. Instead of throwing you into [sp]Saarthal[/sp] and thus the main guild quest, they should build up the fact that you're a student (Shit, add a Harry Potter vibe even). Have some aspect where you choose your classes and you attend those classes which start numerous missions. Put down the class you want to major in and thus focus most on. Each class teaches you new spells and gets you better in your designated field of magic. Onmund, J'zargo, and Brelyna(?) would be useful in this regard because they would be your classmates. This way you can bond with them and pair off with them and actually feel like you're students trying to learn together. And as the teachers continually hold them back in their magical abilities they finally complain then go on their field trip and begin the main guild quest. As for the [sp]Eye of Magnus[/sp] business currently in the main guild quest, simply expand on that story. I mean, who the fuck are the [sp]Psijics[/sp]? What gives them the responsibility to relinquish power? What the fuck is the [sp]Eye of Magnus[/sp] and where did it come from? Maybe even have the possibility of secretly [sp]joining the Psijic Order[/sp] to defend the realm from all manner of magical and extra-dimensional entities. Finally, why are we unable to join the Vigilant of Stendarr? I mean, I think it would make for a cool quest if you and your order seek out and attempt to rid Skyrim of Daedra worshipers (even if you're a hypocrite and do the Daedra's bidding on other occasions). Why not even have that as part of the quest? Choose between weeding out Daedra worshipers and exacting justice upon them or destroying the Vigilant of Stendarr in the fashion that certain Daedra see fit (Instill distrust among them by will of Boethia, flat out kill one by will of Mehrunes Dagon, hunt a couple down in a maze-like area by will of Hircine). Stuff like that. I feel they could have done a lot more with the guild quests (or any of the major quests for that matter) rather than focusing on a ton of small delivery quests or randomly generated quests. I really didn't want to write a wall of text so I'll end it here.
Hadvar's journal in his room offers a bit more reason for why he picks you
My biggest problem with this game is that there's not enough traders to buy all the crap I've accumulated. Unlike in Oblivion, some places don't even have traders that will buy anything good.
that's the issue with elder scrolls games, they are often so good that they cause disappointment in areas where things lack.

I just don't see the fun in fast travelling to multiple vendors just to sell all my loot, so I just additem f 10000 to one vendor so I can sell all my stuff at the same time.
Can i start a new char without it deleting my old one?

Sure, I could've loaded the save right before talking to them, but that would've been annoying. I took the 500 away afterwards anyway.
Can i start a new char without it deleting my old one?
Yes, this isn't pokemon.
Going further with the vigilant of stendarr stuff, it'd be awesome if like, after killing heaps of daedra worshipers, the daedric princes get revenge on you. Next time you sleep, Sheogorath is in your head giving you nightmares, or next time you go to your home objects start flying around and you need to exorcise your house. I find the game more fun when you play with a "shit happens" attitude and don't reload for anything but death. Get caught thieving? Go to jail. Someone spoil your perfect assassination? Either try to kill the witness before the guards catch up or run like hell. It makes you care about your triumphs and learn from your mistakes. I just think it's a lot more interesting and engaging to play with consequences then to abuse the powers of Akatosh. [editline]4th January 2012[/editline]
A great mod would be gypsy style caravans located throughout the world with some traders in them that move every so often and if not to hard see horses pulling these caravans
Wouldn't it be easier to just give the Khajiits' horse drawn carriages and add some more of them? Unless that's what you meant. I can't think of anyone else who could be described as Gypsies. I thought I read something about them being too poor to have horses. Actually now that I think about it, everyone is too poor to have horses. Only nobles and high ranking officers get them.
so I finally decide to do some of my misc quests, one of them being deliver a sword to some chick in a small town halfway across skyrim, once I finally get to where I need to go, a fucking blood dragon comes outta nowhere and kills half the town, including the chick I needed to deliver the sword to moral of the story: dragons are douchebag faggots
A great mod would be gypsy style caravans located throughout the world with some traders in them that move every so often and if not to hard see horses pulling these caravans [editline]5th January 2012[/editline] something like this

One that's packed with shit and has one of the Khajiit folk driving it while the others sit in the back. I mean, it's pretty damn silly to see four or five cat people - not walking- but running from city to city.

Hey guys, just got my smithing to 100, and after finding out that there are no dragon daggers and shit it seems like I'm stuck with deadric stuff. What's the best way to get Deadra hearts?
Thinking of starting a new roleplay character even though i'm nowhere near done with my first guy. I want to play a traveling doctor and focus on Alchemy, Restoration, Illusion, and Alteration (the "non-aggressive" magics). My character would be sort of a mystic/gypsy guy and would have no fighting background, but would be able to do combat by temporarily charging himself with the potions and poisons that he creates, essentially becoming a capable fighter for a limited time. Is this doable and if so what else should I be focusing on/concerned with?
I'm sure it would be doable but what quests would you do

HEY. HEY GUYS. [IMG_thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/632987557046572113/085CFC596CA3A2EF394351ACEA118AAF20E0A93B/[/img_thumb] I'M A DOG.
Is the Skyrim multiplayer mod any good?
I feel like the game should be updated/modded to add a small bit of Magic Resist to glass armour and/or a small bit of manaburn to glass weapons. They look like magical items already and there's basically no reason to go into smithing to get glass compared to the heavy stuff like Daedric.
I remember someone posted a MGE custom setup and it looked really good, but I am not sure where to find it. Can you repost it?

I just bought the home in Solitude, golly the decorations are expensive. But Solitude is such a pretty city. Do any Khajiit Caravans go to Solitude? Also I wish shelves acted like bookshelves but for other items. I want to easily stock the shelves in my new house with my own alchemy ingredients without spending hours trying to get one item to stay.

Are there any mods that slow the time down? I hate to go through the day in a hour.
