Cool, does it stay? Or do I have to do it every time I load a game or something?
wow bunch of dirty cheaters in this thread
Took long enough to get to 100 smithing on my first character. (I made the mistake of investing in destruction almost exclusively, was extremely underpowered.) So when I made my new character I used player.modpcs smithing 80 times (counts toward your level)
Surely you'd do the same?
no i never use cheats. game looses all meaning for me.
I remember someone posted a MGE custom setup and it looked really good, but I am not sure where to find it. Can you repost it?
NVM I found it, MGE EX.
After I beat a game on the PC, I go and look up all the npc spawning commands and just have huge ass npc wars. I don't know why, but I love watching npcs kill the shit out of each other.
Though I often join it personally. Too bad my computer could never run Skyrim. I bought it for the PS3 instead. As usual, the PS3 has shitty load times and bugs galore (but the bugs are probably just the game.) I was just afraid my Xbox would explode if I tired running a game on it that didn't suck (I.E. isn't Mw2/3).
I'm saving up to try and get a gaming computer. I need 1,000 dollars and I have 450 right now. Not bad for a 13 year old.

This happens every time cope plays Skyrim.

The soundtrack to my next Dragon fight.
Just a wagon in general would be nice. One that's packed with shit and has one of the Khajiit folk driving it while the others sit in the back. I mean, it's pretty damn silly to see four or five cat people - not walking- but running from city to city.
how fallout-esque
This is the only part where I use console commands. I just don't see the fun in fast travelling to multiple vendors just to sell all my loot, so I just additem f 10000 to one vendor so I can sell all my stuff at the same time.
So how would I enter that into the console to give it to a vendor?
It would make the game feel a bit more alive though. As it stands the game revolves entirely around the dragonborn

God bless Nexus Mod Manager!

I would go insane if I had this many mods installed without the manager because I would forget what was installed then it would eventually drive me to just backup to vanilla so I can try and keep track again.

Are there really that many mods worth using considering the creation kit isn't out?
I find the game more fun when you play with a "shit happens" attitude and don't reload for anything but death. Get caught thieving? Go to jail. Someone spoil your perfect assassination? Either try to kill the witness before the guards catch up or run like hell. It makes you care about your triumphs and learn from your mistakes. I just think it's a lot more interesting and engaging to play with consequences then to abuse the powers of Akatosh.

Wouldn't it be easier to just give the Khajiits' horse drawn carriages and add some more of them? Unless that's what you meant. I can't think of anyone else who could be described as Gypsies.
I thought I read something about them being too poor to have horses. Actually now that I think about it, everyone is too poor to have horses. Only nobles and high ranking officers get them.
Not true, hunters and carriage drivers have horses and they're neither nobles nor officers.
Oh the mod manager updates shit for you?
it tells you when there's an update for one of your mods. but it doesn't automatically download it for you.
Just had my first encounter with an Ancient Dragon.
It's not even fair. My Volendrung does nothing. I have absolutely no health potions left after I used them all on the last two dragons I fought at the same time. I dunno where to find better potions. My stamina, which is absolutely necessary for two-handed weapons, is ruined by frost breath.
And there are forsworn just over the hill.
Help me
on a related note, being a newcomer to the Elder Scrolls series with this game, I do not know- how do I make it so that I can upgrade my ebony armor a third time, and my Volendrung a second/third time?
If your Ebony armor is legendary that's the highest it goes
yo does anyone have any wacky playing skyrim while high stories i need motivation
So apparently [sp]finding Grimsever[/sp] is enough to convince [sp]Mjoll the Lioness[/sp] to enter an interspecies lesbian relationship. The conversation went something like this:
"I'm itching for a fight."
"So, you're interested in me, are you?"
"I would love to spend my life by your side, if you would have me."
Just more reason for me to love this game.
Video game relationships are bland and horribly written as fuck.
I found a rather hilarious Easter egg (I think) and succeeded by accident today. I wandered into a Stormcloak camp and decided to humor myself. I took out my shield and just held it up to see how powerful I was. The soldiers had all surrounded me and were whacking me non-stop with hammers and swords. I remained mostly undamaged.

Oddly enough I was enjoying watching them struggle to take even an inch of life down, so I just stood there with shield in hand and let them bash me. They went at it for so long that my block skill reached 100, which caught me by surprise because I hadn't been paying too much attention to it.

By now you're probably wondering what the Easter egg is. It was something a soldier had said while hitting me. He said, "By the Gods, we've been at this for hours! Kill me already!"
Seems that if you remain in combat for a long time, the NPCs grow annoyed with you. Well played Bethesda.
so I finally decide to do some of my misc quests, one of them being deliver a sword to some chick in a small town halfway across skyrim, once I finally get to where I need to go, a fucking blood dragon comes outta nowhere and kills half the town, including the chick I needed to deliver the sword to
moral of the story: dragons are douchebag faggots
I remember once in some village I helped this guy clear his mines from those giant spiders. After i'm done and he pays me a dragon comes out of nowhere and kills him instantly and the rest of the village died trying to kill it.

Sorry?
This page isn't artistic enough. So here's some fan art done by a quite damn talented artist.

Something I'm actually happy about is that Bethesda implemented the marriage crap, but only really did it just to say that it's there, and never really tried too hard to make anything of it. I was worried when I first heard of it that there would be full-up plotlines that sound like they were written by someone from fanfiction.net just to make it seem "mature" or some crap. But they really just put some fairly generic "Together forever" lines for each marriage option and made them serve as money making machines.
Granted, there are the Temple of Mara quests, which have some pretty bad, cheeseball writing, but it's mostly harmless and doesn't seem to sink to the level that a company like Bioware probably would. Besides, if someone really wants to get their rocks off to their player character and virtual spouse in a fantasy video game having hilarious, poorly-animated clipping sex, they can easily consult the Nexus.

Not really the same thing he was talking about, and the actual romantic part of the relationship between Alyx and Gordon is really just a background thing that's barely even touched upon in any of the games. There's maybe two scenes where she flirts with Gordon and one where Eli quickly jokes about them.
