Is there any mod that fixes the Ice Storm (Adept) destruction spell? It just fades away after 5 meters, I mean, I would be okay with that if it at least had a proper effect for it disappearing, but it just abruptly disappears.

On another note, it's easily the best Adept level spell, since it slows people and they end up taking more than 40 damage, where as the others only do damage once. It also throws stuff off of tables in a whirlwind, so what's not to like?
Downloaded an armor mod that has ridiculous enchantments. Is there any way to use the console to get rid of enchantments for an item?
Very shocked I didn't think of this like.... a month ago, but you can reanimate generic "prop" skeletons that lie around dungeons and such in large qauntities. Quite useful once you have the dark souls perk and theres no better bodies around
i hope someone does an unarmed skill tree when the CK comes out.
What the fuck is it exactly that gaurds do? Is their only job to antagonize the player? Taking another whack at a stealth mage character. I stumble into a saber cat hiding at the bottom of a blind spot in a ravine just outside whiterun. Naturally since I specialize in sneak, illusion conjuration and alchemy I really have no means of immediate defense after my flame atronach gets raped so I book it back to town. The gaurds just stand there shouting crap like "haha, get him, get him!" and "Ive got money on the big one!" up until the saber cat attacks them, yet if I fail a pickpocket attempt every godamn guard in town bears down on me like a heatseaking missile, even if I'm completely hidden.
You're supposed to hate them.
As I would think, now when do we get to join a REAL fight to end their wretched government?
As I would think, now when do we get to join a REAL fight to end their wretched government?
I guess that fighter would be you in TES VI.
i hope someone does an unarmed skill tree when the CK comes out.
I want a sex drive skill tree. More wives I have, the faster I level up. At perk level 100, everything is free for you, and everyone in Skyrim is dtf.

The guards never arrest anyone, no one goes inside shops and buy things, no one talks to the jarls about needing help or anything like that.
but but but they kill thieves in riften... which makes me wonder, aren't they ACTUALLY supposed to arrest them?
Before I get into a story, here's a few 'spot the thief' images.

Both of them were ridiculously close calls when I fucked up. The first, I rounded a corner right into the bandit's face. I somehow managed to get away AND hide... right in front of him, essentially. The second, I didn't even see the bandit until he was nearly yelling at me. I dove behind the rocks right in front of him and somehow remained hidden. Now for the story... I did it. I really did it. I [sp]got into the Goldenglow Estate[/sp] and went through water no deeper than my ankles. Looking back, I really wish I documented it a bit better, because it was hell. The tension of sneaking through everything, remaining completely unseen. There were multiple times I heard "Huh, what was that?", only to immediately dive behind the closest rock before peeking out. Once I was in, though, the hard part was over and I actually thought to document some of the travels. But doing it within my restrictions, and as I was instructed to... that's probably been the most fun I've actually had in Skyrim so far. If any of this is too spoiler-ific (other than the pictures, I'd rather keep them thumbs than have to link them), let me know and I'll spoiler it.
When I'm fighting [sp]Alduin after getting Dragonrend, what am I supposed to do? I use the shout then he just comes to the ground, Paarthunax says he is vulnerable but he is still invincible. I don't get it.[/sp]
Don't worry about it, just keep knifing the fucker and eventually something will happen Incidentally, this is advice also useful for any fight
Does anyone have screens of what Whiterun looked like in Elder Scrolls: Arena?

To fix it [sp]you have to go through the Elder Scroll time warp again, and then wait until Alduin is done talking before you attack him.[/sp]
I personally can't wait for those guys working on MERP (that Lord of the Rings mod for Oblivion) to finish porting it to Skyrim, god it's probably going to be great.
I wonder if there actually were some morons who instantly [sp]read the elder scroll[/sp] when they got it because they ignore or forget both dialog and books.
I did it to see what happens. Wasn't very exciting.
Does anyone have screens of what Whiterun looked like in Elder Scrolls: Arena?
Probably looked like all other towns in arena.
Which side is better to join? Stormcloaks or The Empire?
what am I doing wrong muffling boots dagger sneaking around yet the beggar still tells everyone in ivarstead and I have to reload a save and just sword him
Which side is better to join? Stormcloaks or The Empire?
It's pretty much dependent on your point of view. I joined the Stormcloaks because the Empire was ready to kill me for crossing the border at the wrong time. I can only assume (even if it doesn't happen ingame) that I would only be useful for a short while, and when I outlived my usefulness they'd call me a criminal again. The Stormcloaks are trying to reclaim their homeland, and I can find nothing wrong with that.
I wonder if there actually were some morons who instantly [sp]read the elder scroll[/sp] when they got it because they ignore or forget both dialog and books.
I read it, but not because I forgot or ignored anything.
I read it just to see what happened. [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] I joined the empire because of the racism in Windhelm.
Which side is better to join? Stormcloaks or The Empire?
Depends on who you want to like you. Join the imperials, everyone who supports the imperials will like you but anyone who supports the stormcloaks will hate you. Vice Versa. Also most of the Jarls on the side you don't join will be removed from the title of jarl.

I'm so happy I put off joining the Legion until I was level 30 with a Daedric bow, full Overdraw perks, and +50% worth of archery bonuses from equipment. I just mowed down 20 Stormcloaks like it was nothing.
So I finally completed the MQ. Honestly it was one of the best elder scrolls endings done as far as I'm concerned, even if bethesda once again fell into the trap of making it as if nothing happened when it was all over with (excep with mw atleast the blight was gone, and with oblivion you had a statue of you in bruma and akatosh at the temple of the one, while in skyrim literally nothing). [sp]Sovenguard was basically fucking aweseome and a really cool final battleground. It could have been more interesting if it was a big fight between tons of souls, buti I can't complain for what they did. Meeting up with the old dragonborns/slayers of alduin was pretty fucking sweet. Then when you leave and are on the throat of the wolrd, being surounded by dragons as they watch in awe at you and speak dragon language was pretty awesome. Overall I thought the mq was pretty solid by elderscrolls standards, even if they could have made some potentually really cool aspects have more weight.[/sp]
I'd side with the Empire since the Thalmor are strong arming them into doing most of the stuff I don't like them for, and pretty much all the Stormcloaks are xenophobic dicks.
Since I'm a lazy apathetic when it comes to the fate of kingdoms, I sided with Stormcloaks only because I don't wanna risk having my head in a basket again. Is the westernmost city an Imperial one?
