Do I get the option to spare [sp]the emperor[/sp] in that Dark Brotherhood quest, if not, will it affect the [sp]civil war questline[/sp]?

No and no.
Considering the massive cooldown time, not very. Especially when they can just pick their weapon back up again.
Every shout has a damn massive cooldown and little effect to compensate except for Unrelenting Force. Kind of defeats the purpose of being dragonborn when swinging a sword is stronger than the power of Akatosh.

Not Throw Voice for some reason.
What is you guys' favourite Shout?
To me, you just can't beat Unrelenting Force. It's basically Force Push in medieval time.
Not favorite, but I probably use call of valor the most.
Let us not forget that non-Dragonborn things like Drauger and Ulfric can shout more frequently than the Dragonborn can.
npcs can also use icy spear in 1 second intervals, that costs 240magicka to cast.
I think its because of the limitations of the body the dragonborn is in. I doubt an imperial could open his mouth wide enough to let out a massive torrent of flame. I don't know how long [sp]ulfric[/sp] had been training or if its ever explained (don't tell me), but if its been for a while then that could explain why his cooldown is shorter than that of the dragonborn, since the dragonborn only learned that he/she was dragonborn recently.
Exactly how useful is a full "Disarm" shout?
I tried to kill Ulfric once, he disarmed me and Jorleif stole my Daedric Battleaxe. Wait, it gets worse. He's ESSENTIAL.
I tried yadda's enb, but skyrim crashed at launch with it. I'm probably doin it wrong.

If there is one NPC which is sure to be essential before the civil war showdown it has to be Ulfric.
Not very, apparently. Though that doesn't stop fucking Draugr from making you lose your favorite weapon forever, of course.
I didnt lose my favourite weapon, i just picked it right back up
If you could set up a bar in this game, my sales pitch would be "Drink for the thirsty, Food for the hungry, Rest for the wicked."

Not when your weapons drop and start flying around and inflicting damage on you for NO APPARENT REASON.
[editline]lol[/editline]
Or they get stuck in the floor and taunt you because you CANT FUCKING PICK THEM UP.

or that one time i lost my daedric sword down by some rubble due to this stupid shit ass disarm shout from the draugr, took 1 hour to find it and i couldnt pick it up. yay.

I wish he was similar to the Gatekeeper in the SI. Instead of being essential, he'd just be a really hard fight that you can still win and bypass the quest chain. Maybe there could even be a different quest chain in you succeed.

Being able to open up a shop or an inn or something in a town would be awesome. Suddenly speech is useful.

The only "real" choice in the game is between the stormcloaks and the empire. You can do every other questline at once and they will not affect eachother in any meaningful way.

I lost Dawnbreaker AND Mehrunes' Razor fighting Rahgot on top of a mountain. That was a pain. Ended up killing him with a pair of ebony swords. I managed to get the Daedric weapons back since they landed right at the base of the road, but I consider myself extremely lucky. I managed to lose the Razor again later whilst fighting alongside the Stormcloaks in a dungeon.
Consider turning off FXAA
Or trying a different build.
When you say FXAA you mean the built in FXAA or the injector? This has the injector included right?

And that is how the Daedric Lords' weapons returned to them.

Speech is already useful - Just ridiculously hard to level up without exploits.
Just bought Dead Thrall. Used it on a bandit mage, she fared pretty well (killcount of 5) but then decided I wanted a personal touch for my thrall, so I reanimated Anise. Anise got into a fight with some bandits purporting to be Imperial soldiers, and died before she could summon her atronach.

The perks are useful, but it doesn't seem worth it to spend a limited number of points on them when there are much more useful perks.

I found myself upgrading speech and other 'lesser' areas when I was a bit later on in my level, around the 40s, when I had what I considered useful for what I absolutely rely on essentially maxed out.
Is there a mod that give you more perk points as you level higher?
As in:
1 - 10 gives 1 Perk point
11-20 gives 2 Perk poins
21-30 gives 3 perk points
But it's my first runthrough and I'm a really blunt hack-and-slash kind of person with a little bit of magic, so I'm pretty basic in what I find really useful.

You could try this: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1175
I always forget what my name in this game is cause I never mention it, ever, in any dialog option. So when I see my name on some contract I am like "Hmm I need to look out for that guy... wait"

Not to mention the speech branch of the perks aren't particularly useful. They want like.. 70 (is it?) for the persuasion perk, and fucking 90 for intimidation? And even then there are hardly any useful speech checks, certainly not enough of them to validate getting those perks.
For that matter, since when does being good at speaking make you intimidating, or more over when is that the only thing that makes you intimidating? I figure when you walk up to somebody in a towering set of daedric armor, isn't that sort of when you'd be intimidating? Intimidation really should have been based upon the grade of gear you are carrying, and your weapon/destruction skills. Being a scary agressive asshole really isnt the sort of thing that generally requires being incredibly articulate with a masterful vocabularly (as the skill requirment implies)
