Is it just me, or have NPCs been teleporting a lot more than they did at initial release? I remember seeing them teleport maybe once or twice within my first month and a half of playing, and now it seems like they teleport past anything that isn't a static map prop. It's like the recent updates made the idle pathfinding really lazy or something. Kinda breaks the immersion, I have to admit.
So i decided to play some Skyrim today after not playing it for along while and weird shit is happening all the time. And this is one of the wierd shits which happens :v:
I like the facepaint-arrow colour theme you have going on there. Also, more than 200 hours in and I still haven't seen the Headless Horseman...
That's not my character. Just a quick googled image for Scaled armour. EDIT: This is my character. is destruction really as shit as everybody says? should I not even bother?
is destruction really as shit as everybody says? should I not even bother?
Unless you can get a mod or two to fix 'er up..
fuck sake bethesda where is my construction set
Decent-ish at low levels, increasingly useless at higher ones. The master and expert level spells have piss poor damage:magicka ratios. The master level fire spell, without any perks, costs 1500 magicka.
The damage really doesn't matter when you can permanently stunlock a target from a great distance. Maybe it'll take a little too long if you're like max level on master difficulty compared to using weapons, but at level 45 for me it's completely fine. I'm pretty much indestructible.
I can't seem to get a straight answer on google. Is there a way to replace some of the music in the game?
is destruction really as shit as everybody says? should I not even bother?
It's not bad for what it is, but what it is is not a primary weapon. Destruction is a sidearm at best, better suited to people using melee and destruction combined.

I've played through the game twice and done the Dark brotherhood, companions, theives guild and college quests. What do?
I've played through the game twice and done the Dark brotherhood, companions, theives guild and college quests. What do?
Download all of the most popular skyrim mods, or get someone else to do it, so you don't know what you're getting, then play and post results.

The balancing between expert level and adept level spells is a little backwards though. Ignite or whatever the expert level fire destruction spell is takes too much magicka to be worth casting as opposed to firebolt. Dual casted fire bolt just constantly stun-locks the enemy and takes up very little magicka.

Ah, the key is iron daggers? Right, I really should've checked all the costs.
I'm trying to do that Skooma quest in Riften, but it appears to be broken or something. I killed everyone in the place I was told to go (the objective was "Disrupt Skoom Operation" or something) and nothing happens. I tried talking to the Jarl but there are no new speech options. There's no waypoint for me to go to and yes I've made sure I has Miscellaneous quests open/checked/whatever and the specific quest open/checked/whatever. Edit: Anyone?
is destruction really as shit as everybody says? should I not even bother?
There is a spell you can get through console commands called "Firebolt Storm" It's kinda overpowered, and I'll make a video of it since noone else has one. Just wait a bit.
Ah, the key is iron daggers? Right, I really should've checked all the costs.
If you're on the PC you might as well set your smithing to 100. Levelling smithing the regular way takes hours and it makes your character statistically weak as you've been levelling up smithing instead of combat skills. You'll be level 30 and fighting high level enemies with a one handed skill of 30 or something like that.
I haven't switched characters at all, I'm still using my first character and just doing as much as I can.
