My goddamn horse died. Fell from an absolutely pitifully small height, which apparently severely wounded the horse; then those damned Forsworn archers finished it off :c

Why does everyone say that destruction sucks? Its pretty good to me, I can kill lots of stuff in seconds with it, using the lightning storm for example. (but then again, I am using a full set of clothes that gives magicka and spell cost reduction) Still, I'd rather use my dual swordsman. I can't block but then again, when you can drop a dragon or a centurion master in less than 5 seconds, you don't really need to block anything. By the way, I already got melee combat skills almost maxed out, but I sort of wanted to try out conjuration with my swordsman to use bound swords but I don't know if I would be able to. Are bound swords the same or worse compared to daedric swords? Can I use elemental fury to speed up bound swords? Can I even use bound swords with 100 magicka? (with or without conjuration spells magicka cost reduction) Also, does it train my one handed skill? And does the one handed skill help to give it more damage?
The bound equipment is pretty crap if you've already got high-level stuff iirc; same as Daedric, but you can't upgrade it or enchant it.

Found this cool place, full of Falmer (I think) and a big Dwarven mech thing.
It levels up both Conjuration and the weapon skill. I say it's a viable replacement.
True. It also means one doesn't have to lug around an actual sword all the time, more free weight for loot.

Bound swords do as much damage as an untempered Steel sword, but with the Mystic Binding perk, they do that of a Daedric sword. They don't weigh anything, although they do take about three seconds to charge and equip, so plan skirmishes accordingly. One last thing, if you're using them in both hands, it's best to take the Conjuration Dual Casting perk. Dual casting bound swords makes them last longer.
Using console commands to make the sky look like it is in [sp] sovngarde [/sp] is pretty fun and the results look pretty nice. (minor contrast changes in photoshop too) [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/whiterun21.png[/img_thumb]

I don't know if you guys know this, but i think changing ShadowMapRes in SkyrimPrefs.ini to 1 give a an extra boost in FPS rather than 0

I found the [sp]bound bow[/sp] to be useful for dealing damage after I let my Flame Atronachs loose. They make excellent distractions to get in good damage or shots in with anything really. Conjure skill tree is my favorite because I always forget to bring a buddy. trying to keep this as spoiler free as possible, so don't recommend better spells or conjuring's. This is a game to be experienced for the first time blind. Or go ahead if nobody cares about that kind of stuff in this thread.
If you're on the PC you might as well set your smithing to 100. Levelling smithing the regular way takes hours and it makes your character statistically weak as you've been levelling up smithing instead of combat skills. You'll be level 30 and fighting high level enemies with a one handed skill of 30 or something like that.
Then you're doing it wrong. I have hardly mined anything at all (20 veins or less in total), you get shittons of ingots and ores from caves and chests. Leather is naturally obtained from walking from place to place and killing animals on the way. I have 100 block and one-hand, over 160,000 gold and 80 in smithing. However, I am a few levels over 40.
The bound equipment is pretty crap if you've already got high-level stuff iirc; same as Daedric, but you can't upgrade it or enchant it.
Upgrade it by smithing? I should start that aswell. Wait, I can't enchant it how? Only those soul based enchants right? I can, however enchant them with a shout right?
Actively using Block is a new concept for me, it makes for some fun fights, but I die a lot more :v: I usually play Stealth Archer or Illusionist Assassin.
How can you die more by using blocking? Block, attack, block, attack. Almost invulnerable. Block bash, attack, attack, block bash, attack, attack. Invulnerable. However I find blocking to make battles WAY more boring. It's useful when fighting strong leveled enemies or spellcasters, but other than that I've only used it to level the skill.
What suit is that?
My guess is a modded nightingale suit or whatever it's called :v:

So if I enchant my sword will the effect just get shittier and shittier without effecting the actual damage output until it's just a regular sword again or do I just not understand enchanting at all? I want some sweet effects but I don't want to turn my sword into shit not knowing what I'm doing here.
http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5696
Wow soo much better looking compared to the real thing.
Essential NPC's is still the wost fucking concept ever. Even the mods don't even turn all of them off. Because there are like over 100 characters that cannot be killed. What the fuck. The concept is so game breaking to me I got Skyrim for the PC so I could mod them off and the mods don't even work because most of them are physically impossible to kill the way they coded them.
