I can understand how it'd take that much time to finish the map, and the environment really is spectacular, but game content trumps environment every time. I don't understand how all these years of development produced so little actual quests. Maybe lazy is the wrong word. Maybe they just waste a ridiculous of time and resources on unnecessary things.
The point is, the amount of time they spent on it doesn't reflect the same level of quality present in bethesda's other games and similar RPGs in general.
Radiant AI quests/dungeon crawling vs. hand-crafted storylines - it reminds me of how I can spend all my time coding a really complicated general solution to a category of problems, one that I can apply to all other problems like it, whereas I really need to be writing the simple solution to the one, specific problem I have in front of me so I can spend the rest of my time working on the rest of the code.
Some people are saying Skyrim can be a bit repetitive. I don't know, I'm not seeing it. Maybe I like repetitiveness or something...
...would explain why I liked Assassin's Creed 1.

Jesus, that would definitely explain it.
I don't really find Skyrim too repetitive, although I really can't deny that most quests boil down to you going to some dungeon full of draugr.
I still love skyrim, though.
Skyrim is repetitive as hell, but it's fun to play. Just get past the first 10 levels.

Only the dragon fights are repetitive. If you do quests often it doesn't normally, unless you enjoy doing quests that involve dungeons. In that case yes Draugrs do get fucking boring to fight.
I wouldn't mind there being zombies and Draugr, instead of Draugr just replacing them.
I learned that skyrim has facegendata for all the different NPCs, they store stuff like warpaint, eyebags, stuff like that, it explains why changing the warpaints don't affect NPC, hopefully it'll be possible to make Skyrim read from the actual warpaint files when the Ck comes out.
I want a mod that completely disables fast travel/makes carriages way more expensive. So I can actually travel the world without a chance of the fast travel distracting me.
Is there any mod to fix the fov? Changing the ini files didn't do anything, and using the console would disable achievements (which I care about slightly).
Sorry if it's late to ask this, I don't really want to bother reading the entire thread.

Draugr are the ancient nord zombie. They didn't replace them, that's just what the Nords have called them.
I do have to say though, that the one thing that I really love about skyrim is that it's a huge three-dimensional canvas. The more I play, the bigger the list of things I want to change or make in the game gets. I can't wait to see all the cool mods that people make for it, either. Speaking of which, any firm release date on the CK? I heard the 5th, but I didn't hear anything about that being official.
Holy shit, Markarth rapes my framerate, even with the fancy new nvidia drivers. Something's up with that city, and it's not the guards.
How do you even pronounce Draugr? Is it like Draw-ger or is it Dr-ow-ger?
The Elder Scrolls VI should take place all over Tamriel with each race you choose starting in their own respective province e.g. (Start as High Elf you begin the game in Summerset Isle, Start as Orc you begin the game in the Dragontail Mountains).

If you can fit all that together in one game disk or sit through 2-4 days of steam downloading if you expect the same graphics of skyrim and you want to include every single bit of Tamriel
I dont like the look of Daedric armour

Eh, chances are that they wouldn't include all the provinces in one game, only because they have sequels to think about.
For some reason, I think the next Elder Scrolls game is going to be in Elsweyr, Valenwood, or Black Marsh. Maybe all three could be in one game, since they're all connected (except Black Marsh, but the small area around Leyawiin is very thin so I wouldn't be surprised if they would end up just throwing that in there, too).
The Black Marsh is uninhabitable except by Argonians. Would make for a poor story and no one would buy it if they can't be what they want to be.
So I finally came to the time I come to with all RPGs - calling a character finished and starting a new one.
However, I couldn't bring myself to delete all my old saves the way I normally do with the Fallout games. Felt too sad.
So I tucked them away in a new folder and wished them good night. Just in case I ever wanted to play as that character again.

Draw-ger
I accidentally deleted my heavy armor/unarmed Khajiit save. Whoops.

As a character?
Am i the only one who finds themselves levelling up skills, exploring, making money, buying houses etc more than doing very many quests? ('m still at the part were i [sp]meet with that bastard who took the horn of jorgen windcaller in the hotel yet i'm level 31[/sp]
Holy shit! Next time you make a character and go to Solitude watch Rogvir's execution and pay close attention to his head when it rolls, more importantly his eyes, he blinks and then closes them.

I just finished that quest at level 22 [sp]simply because I wanted the third word of Unrelenting Force. A man's gotta have his cool shouts, afterall.[/sp]

The funny thing is heads have been observed doing that IRL. After decapitation, the head can remain active for (I think, if I remember correctly) 3 seconds or less.
Also, the next Skyrim game should take place somewhere new in my opinion. Maybe some colony is founded in a new land or something.

I would like a TES game with somewhere in Akavir as its setting. You'd play as an explorer and it'd be like the exploration of the new world.
I doubt it'll happen but I'd be happy if it did.

So you're new to the Elder Scrolls series then?
I was being pursued by two frost spiders and I had summon atronach in one hand and nighteye in the other so I tabbed out to go to the magic menu and --
