How are people making these awesome screenshots where they are fighting dragons?
Anisotropic filtering. Give it a try.
If only I didn't have 3 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA graphics card.
If only I didn't have 3 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA graphics card.
What does that mean? Anisotropic filtering on current hardware has effectively 0.00000% performance impact. And you can easily force it in your drivers or directly in skyrim.
I have never understood why most games put Anisoptric Filtering at 4 or 8 on default. Why not just have it at 16? Makes everything instantly better without sacrificing anything. "Oh you can handle everything on high/max?! Well let me set that Anispotric filtering to 8 for you". (for those games that auto-detect your system)
adding a huge lens flare to a picture does not make it artistic.
Hmm I'm not sure, It looks pretty artistic to me.
adding a huge lens flare to a picture does not make it artistic.
I don't think you understand what that word means. Merely because you don't prefer the aesthetic choices he made in the creation and editing of the photo does not detract from the "artistic" level of it. I don't necessarily like it either, but it can still be classified as artistic if he created various parts of that for aesthetic purposes. Edit: I bet those disagreeing also think "modern" art isn't actually art. Point is if he put it in there because he thought it looked nice that in itself is for artistic purpose or aesthetic reasons.
I find the best Skyrim screenshots are the ones that use Skyrim's realistic beauty. Taking a screenshot and turning it into a fantasy filter-rape just doesn't tickle my fancy.
I find the best Skyrim screenshots are the ones that aren't raped by ENB configs.
A skyrim screenshot contest would be cool since people keep churning out these wonderful screenshots.
adding a huge lens flare to a picture does not make it artistic.
Uh it's dawn over the statue of the daedric prince of dawn, sounds pretty artistic.
Uh it's dawn over the statue of the daedric prince of dawn, sounds pretty artistic.
Dawn of the dawn of the sun. Sounds artistic alright.
oh god I never thought to look up in that room in Saarthal. The one with that bridge in the center, in the room just after that first Psijic Order [sp]theres coffins. hundreds of them[/sp]
Got my conjure skill up to 100 and invested a shit ton of perks in it. Also bring my fallower from Whiterun (forgot her name) everywhere decked out in the coolest bestest stuff I found on my travels. Armies of shit to fight for me, away!
oh god I never thought to look up in that room in Saarthal. The one with that bridge in the center, in the room just after that first Psijic Order [sp]theres coffins. hundreds of them[/sp]
Yeah, it's pretty amazing looking.
Anisotropic filtering. Give it a try.
and AA and saving as an uncompressed jpeg or png.
Oblivion does? It still is really inconsistent with its performance then.
Fuck I can't read. I thought you said Skyrim.
fuck I got a gtx560 for christmas but it didn't want to work with my stupid computer no pretty graphics for me
and AA and saving as an uncompressed jpeg or png.
Well I say AF because it doesn't change you framerate on modern hardware and makes a giant difference in clarity. AA still takes a toll on even high end hardware.
Well if you're just taking a screenshot, then framerate/playability shouldn't really matter.
Glad to see I'm not the only one. Whole fucking hour, damnit. So how are people making equipment and interior mods before the CK is out?
There is a program called sky edit. It's essentially like a simple version of the GECK or whatever Oblivion's version of that was called. Most of the mods out there are made using that, rather then that painstaking part FOMM that was used back in october. It's similar to MWEdit for Morrowind and is only in early stages in development. Bit of advice: When you fancy a bit of an explore, try walking the length of the coast line. There's some fairly interesting stuff... Also, There are two misc quests where you are tasked with finding out about someone past. Anyone got any hints to either of em? And I mean hints...
This Prowler's Profit perk means more to me than golden diamonds
This Prowler's Profit perk means more to me than golden diamonds
It's pretty ridiculous. You'll have so many gems after a few dungeons its just not funny.

Is there a way to grind enchanting like you can smithing?
Get tons of soul gems, usually in mage/necromancer caves and castles, get the skills conjured weapons that absorb souls, and then kill everything. Enchant everything
Is there a way to grind enchanting like you can smithing?
Got my enchanting to 71 earlier from enchanting rings with sneak, along with clothing and other shit, then sell them off and buy more souls gems, go hunting, fill those gems, repeat.
