I get that same vibe, but I kinda like how out-of-place they feel. It really adds on to that feeling that these things are from a different dimension and were never meant to exist on Earth.

I don't think there's a legit difference between the two. If you remember, you only saw the face of the advisor in hl2, as with episode 2 they showed the whole body a couple times. So, logically, they didn't need to add much detail with the original models, but did when they began using it more often. :eng101:

i understand that it has been updated if the advisor only had added phong and different shape of body in ep2, but the old advisor also had two arms with spikes at the end of them instead of arms, a completely different gasmask, the one in episode 2 has a small device under it's stomach and has two tubes connected to it's gasmask, the two tubes instead of one let the advisor take out it's tongue, but in the original hl2, the advisor had only one tube and no visible holes for the tongue, and is connected to a completely different looking object and also had completely different markings around it's neck, those advisors should be the leader, because the one in hl2 looks older and has more life support
