Got in the beta, amazing so far, but getting tokens takes forever :( Atleast we can get them at all, we aren't forced to pay :D
I think i would love playing this game. is there any kind of open beta before release? This might be one of the few games getting me away from QL

I miss the days of fast shooters so this interests me but I'm not entirely willing to drop $30 for beta access (or whatever it is they want for a preorder)
I think they should have given players one class of each type (light medium and heavy) rather than giving to very similar classes.
I'd rather they give them the soldier class and 3 more classes of their choosing.

I wish Tech turrets were independent of the generator. Really sucks, because you're usually the one one defending it.

I'd rather not support free to win / free but not to all the content. F2P games should really just be cosmetic stuff, I don't tend to like games that punish me for being a free account. Also I'm not sure I'd like it, hence why I'd like to try it first. And money is sort of tight.
My glitch finally cleared up. I'm no Tribes vet so I'm not biased by nostalgia, I gave the original a go recently and I have to say it was just generally way more enjoyable than this.
There's a new patch, the runner and juggernaut classes are now half the price they used to be! It still takes a while to get to that, but at least it's twice as fast now.
Anyone got a spare beta key? [editline]22nd November 2011[/editline] pm it to me if you do thanks <3
There's a new patch, the runner and juggernaut classes are now half the price they used to be! It still takes a while to get to that, but at least it's twice as fast now.
runner?
runner?
Oh woops, pathfinder.
It is hilarious how many people do not know how to ski. I regularly catch lights (pathfinders and jumpers) using mediums, and outrun people when I had a dead start at the bottom of a hill.
Playing against spies in TF2 has really made infiltrators easy to kill for me. I was repairing the generator on Bella Omega once, and an infiltrator decloaks right next to be trying to backstab, and I turnaround and one-shot him with my melee. Yesterday on Katabatic, one threw a sticky mine on me while I was repairing, and I flew into him and killed him with his own mine.

I cant believe I didn't get in the beta. I pre-ordered GA and played it since, I registered for the Tribes Beta since it was available, and Yet I got no key.
Fuck me I'm terrible at this game.
Fuck me I'm terrible at this game.
It has a steep learning curve, but is very fun once you get the hang of it. Learn to ski first, as plenty of the good players (at aiming) suck at skiing. Next just put some time into it.
Fuck me I'm terrible at this game.
Play some rabbit matches as well, rabbit is great to practice shooting at a single person, and practice running away from a group of people.
Can anyone spare a key for a grizzled old tribes veteran? Begging aside I played starsiege the mech simulator, which is the same universe as tribes, just set several years before the events of tribes. I wonder if they will ever bring back the cybrids.....
Got a beta key. Looking forward to trying this shit out.

They seem to have a giveaway every two weeks or so.
MingeBox sent me a key for Tribes Ascend Beta. He is a very awesome guy.

You don't exactly decloak, but indoors you're incredibly obvious.
Searched my emails to see if I have a code ... The wait continues :( Good to see from the feedback that it's back to tribes 1&2 style. I am looking forward to this.
Am I the only one who generally hates invisibility mechanics in games like this? Like the recons in global agenda, infiltrators are annoying as hell yet they really don't seem to do much for the team unless the person playing them is godly :v: For infs in this game their only trick is instakilling the generator and then what? Maybe lurk around and backstab the tech who comes to repair it, but they can't do shit if there's more than one enemy anyway.
