am i the only one who liked Tribes: Vengeance? very good multiplayer to me atleast
Anyone know how to fix the launcher telling me it's "Busy".
am i the only one who liked Tribes: Vengeance? very good multiplayer to me atleast
waaaaaay too slow, ascend is like the middleground between vengeance and t2 I don't like it very much, the only good map in the beta is katabatic imo [editline]24th November 2011[/editline] (cool ass name for a map too)
I love the way people try to have conversations with the voice chat. *The enemy has captured our flag* Woohoo! Wait. Shazbot! I also like going "Declined." whenever I do something like hit someone with a Pathfinder grenade right after they grab the flag.
What does Shazbot even mean? I know it's in Tribes 2 too, but nothing more than that. Sorry if it's a dumb question.
What does Shazbot even mean? I know it's in Tribes 2 too, but nothing more than that. Sorry if it's a dumb question.
It's from the TV show "Mork & Mindy".
Add me if any of you want to play sometime: HeinrichVonFuss
How long did it take all you guys to get your codes? I was just wondering because I've waiting awhile (like most of us).
How long did it take all you guys to get your codes? I was just wondering because I've waiting awhile (like most of us).
I got mine right at the start of the beta, but I applied ages ago, and then forgetting that I'd applied I did it again a few months ago :v:
am i the only one who liked Tribes: Vengeance? very good multiplayer to me atleast
I loved it, was the last tribes game I played until now.
My friend just gave me a key, this game is awesome
How long did it take all you guys to get your codes? I was just wondering because I've waiting awhile (like most of us).
It was a few weeks before I saw mine. And I'm loving it. It sucks it is only 3 maps and I have to do a quick prayer before I launch the game because sometimes I can play for hours and other times after an hour I crash.
I've been playing key courtesy of Mingebox. Thoughts so far, it seems to me the lighter classes have the advantage, capping objectives and dogging fire thanks to their enhanced mobility. I have issues with aiming and leading the targets properly though, my disks will miss by milimeters every damn time. [editline]27th November 2011[/editline] Back in the day I liked to use the chaingun and Plasma gun, cover all the bases.

Also, if lights loss their momentum, or get caught inside, they get shredded.
I fucking love Tribes, never played 2 or 3 though. I will certainly be playing this to no end.
Not my video - nerf tech please.
Not my video - nerf tech please.
Yeah, light turrets could deal with a bit of a damage nerf.
Not my video - nerf tech please.
I don't think they're that bad. Remember the majority of that video was throwing grenades and enemies not dodging them, which is a sure fire way win indoors with any class. Maybe turrets could use a damage nerf, but only if they get taken off generator power since that is such a big downside. Also, funny how you don't see him fighting any infs in that video :v:
Got a key for the game last night. holy fuck i suck at this game thank god it doesn't count deaths
Still waiting on a key. I used to work on modx (that sandbox mod) in starsiege. Ascend looks so fucking awesome
Got a key for the game last night. holy fuck i suck at this game thank god it doesn't count deaths
The post-game info shows your death count.
The post-game info shows your death count.
Oh. :smith:
ok so after having played the new one today you gain tokens way too fucking slow. i want to buy the pathfinder but itll take me about 500 games to buy the class oh and i hope some of you know the feeling of camping inside an enemy base behind a few boxes, their flag is returned, their guy with our flag is not 20m away from it as you speed off at the flag, take it right infront of him and kill him with your spinfusor. yeah. oh and i capped the flag too.
I really think they need to increase the amount of tokens rewarded at the end of a match for players who don't use boosts. At this point, it already seems like they are forcing you to buy boosts to get the classes faster.

That way boosts get you the class super faster but you don't get all the features with buying the game, and free players will have a good knowledge of what class they want to play. Right now it's too much of a risk; by the time the player has reached 15k he probably won't spend it because he's skeptical on how the class will play. Since the player has been using 2 classes for ~60 hours, we can assume he won't like the class he bought at all.
I like the spinfusor. Too bad i am terrible at weapons with travel time, and unlocking a class different class takes forever.

I think that all classes should be lowered to 5k tokens, and the pathfinder and juggernaut to 3,000. There is not much in the way of additional content in this game, and making a F2P player able to earn all the classes relatively quickly (look at some of the other F2P games) would be a bit of an issue. 15,000 tokens is way to much, but 3k for all would be to little. Especially considering people with boosters could soon be off them after gaining the classes.
But surely they could add some aesthetic stuff like jetpack trails and stupid hats if they need more content for people to spend money on.
Perhaps different skins and jetpack trails. I am not sure how well hats would work.
really like the sound of different coloured jetpack trails, not sure what else they could do though since you don't get to see much of the classes close up unless you play infiltrator/technician they could go the tf2 route of ruining the look of the game with ski trails and effects but that would look pretty terrible [editline]28th November 2011[/editline]
You become much more visible if you shoot, stab, or throw a grenade as an Infiltrator. You don't exactly decloak, but indoors you're incredibly obvious.
I think the key thing here is that you become visible after you've already thrown a grenade, backstabbed or fired at someone, making it much easier to escape and recloak as the closest enemy is most likely dead already
