that is definitely the new spin fusor
tbh i think it looks absolutely baller
on-weapon ammo counter gets one in my favor. tribes + less cluttered (not that it was cluttered in the first place) HUD wins me over no problemo
Less cluttered?
The weapon model itself takes up half the damn screen!
good. maybe tribes can be a cinematic masterpiece
FUCK WHY MUST 2011 HAVE SO MANY AMAZING GAMES THAT I WANT
caps

I have such great memories of Tribes 2 on the PC and Tribes Aerial Assault. I might go pop in Tribes AA into my system and fill it with bots for nostalgia
Only Tribes I've played was the PS2 one. It was one of my favorite games though. My brother and I probably logged about 75 hours offline with the bots.
Don't think they'll employ monthly fees. Didn't work out well for GA.
hard to put monthy fees on a game that has a server browser
I hope they don't screw this up like they did with vengeance. I loved Tribes 2.
pics added to OP
Might I say that IT LOOKS FUCKING AWESOME.
Starsiege: Tribes was the first game that got me into PC gaming. I got it around 2002 when I was 13 years old, still wrapped in its old metal container. It was one of the only games I could play successfully on my Windows 95 at the time (Along with Half Life 1 and Ultima Online). It was ridiculously modable, and and there was gamemodes spanning from paintball to a pseudo-gmod. I still have friends I've known on there from almost 10 years ago.
I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for Tribes, and I hope this game continues the legend. :unsmith:
Starsiege Tribes was my first multiplayer game. :unsmith:
Played it with arrow keys no less back in 1999.
I actually played the demo for the first two years since so many people still played it, it was on a server called "Scully's Renegades"... I have so many fond memories of that server, made a few friends that I still talk to and play games with today.
So, yeah... the game has a pretty special place in my heart.
Holy fuck, how did I miss this thread!?

I hope they keep the command circut that let you control turrets and cameras and things.
I am hyped for this but I heard global agenda sucks so kind of worried too. Tribes: vengeance was fun! I loved skiing
I've only played vengeance but I thought vengeance was fucking awesome so I shall pre order this
[editline]10th May 2011[/editline]
also i have fapped to those screens
My god...
Finally it happen, I've been waiting this for years.
Even though most of people hated Vengeance, I liked it. I hope that the sliding is back!

Oooh fuck yeah. The Shrike should have a canopy that slides over when you've jumped in and maybe pops off if you eject
I hope they keep the command circut that let you control turrets and cameras and things.

Am I the only person who didn't ever play Vengeance?
any release date yet?
Am I the only person who didn't ever play Vengeance?
I played a demo for it. Just forget about it's existence :P
I loved the first tribes. I thought the second one was alright. Hoping this one is like an inbetween of the two :)
Am I the only person who didn't ever play Vengeance?
Don't worry, you didn't miss a god damned thing.
Yeah, Vengeance was really lacking in quite a few fronts. I think they spent more time developing a singleplayer story line that really...wasn't that fantastical. Sure it had its few surprises and turns, but overall it was kind of drab.
They didn't completely ignore the multiplayer aspect of Vengeance, but you could tell it wasn't as polished as the first game.
When I saw this, I squealed, can't wait to get my hands on a next gen spinfusor.
My wallet is officially fucked due to the amazing releases this year.
I did enjoy Vengeance but it's just not a tribes game if you get what I mean. It just felt like UT with Jetpacks. I hope to fuck this one's at least as moddable as T2, fuck me the times I had playing RevMod online.
Starsiege: Tribes was...it was my guru for my entrance into gaming. My fondest memories are of trying to run it on my crappy Dell when I was 6, and then getting it to run. All I remember is one giant map with two bases in the air, and getting into some skimmer APCs and flying off the maps and into the oblivion beyond.
Oh. And the disk gun.
Oh my god I just came.

holy shit
[editline]11th May 2011[/editline]
Was anyone in the BEML?
Somebody find me the fucking earthsiege compendium as well as download links for the original earthsiege series (They're considered abandonware to my knowledge). I want some nostalgia up in this bitch.
[editline]11th May 2011[/editline]
I've been playing Earthsiege in fact, and it's a bloody brilliant game even by today's standards. If there were a re-make with updated graphics and controls as well as better compatibility but retaining exactly the same gameplay it'd be the best thing in the fucking world. The Mechwarrior series has similar but more simplified gameplay
My wallet is officially fucked due to the amazing releases this year.
Have they said that it's coming out this year?
Yup, scheduled for 2011 release.

This is good to hear. Depending on when though it's going to interfere with other purchases i've already planned on. Too many games coming out this year.
