If you're aiming sideways (looking to left while not moving towards left) you're disc will not hit where you're aiming and will go a bit ahead. Other then that, just keep practicing until you get it right. [editline]15th December 2011[/editline] Just realized I'm pointing out the obvious :v: I'm not a very good teacher.
also the spinfusor is based off the Tribes 1 and 2 one (duh) [editline]15th December 2011[/editline] i have 3 keys available, --- nevermind just look below.
Haven't most of the projectile weapons shown up in all of the tribes games? I guess the rifle counts as the vengeance chaingun more or less. Also not sure who uses gmod here but http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=127008
Aww yeah, almost got half the price to buy the next lowest-priced class (Infiltrator) I can buy. Or should I hold out for something better?
infiltrator has a really high skill flooring, especially since your cloak uses 50% more energy than one who has it leveled, if you think you have the skill, go for it.
Plus the backstab skill would potentially allow you to melee a medium once for a kill (without health upgrades)
infiltrator has a really high skill flooring, especially since your cloak uses 50% more energy than one who has it leveled, if you think you have the skill, go for it.
Well, I'm kinda skilled, I mean I don't have mountains of skill, but I've played over a thousand hours of Spy in TF2 and probably a few hundred hours of Burnout 3 so I think I'll do fine if I just mash those skills together.
Do the credits you earn in-game (the ones you spend on vehicles) effect anything outside the game? Or are they lost after the game ends?
Do the credits you earn in-game (the ones you spend on vehicles) effect anything outside the game? Or are they lost after the game ends?
They are lost. So be sure to nuke the enemy base with whatever you've got left before the match ends :v:
Plus the backstab skill would potentially allow you to melee a medium once for a kill (without health upgrades)
I don't understand how a backstab would be useful in a game where everyone has jetpacks and is moving at a hundred miles per hour. I've yet to even be hit with a melee.
I don't understand how a backstab would be useful in a game where everyone has jetpacks and is moving at a hundred miles per hour. I've yet to even be hit with a melee.
It's useful to kill people repairing the generator, sneak up behind em and bam
I hit people with melee all the time. It's actually really useful. [editline]16th December 2011[/editline] It can be really hard to time though because it doesn't behave like you'd expect when you're travelling quickly.
I don't understand how a backstab would be useful in a game where everyone has jetpacks and is moving at a hundred miles per hour. You know what pisses me off? Several techs on the same team spamming turrets in the same area. Next time I see this, I'm buying whatever class it is that has a mortar and going to town on those fucking turrets.

I've always tried to heal the gen and I've yet to get stabbed. They always barge in and throw grenades.
Where did all these keys come from? T10FC-9FFBA-A6784-D1985-B8010 T1A9A-C3C8E-B7EB4-1D180-079E5

Also, I use it during cqb against heavies, since it wastes so much ammo otherwise.

Pathfinder is a pretty awesome class.
I love to play Jumper.
I love to play Jumper.
I love killing jumpers. I don't know if it's the weapons or what but I feel like they are such pushovers against any other class v:v:v
A friend asked me what genre Tribes was I said it was a VMFFFPS (Very Mother Fucking Fast First Person Shooter)
A friend asked me what genre Tribes was I said it was a VMFFFPS (Very Mother Fucking Fast First Person Shooter)
That acronym started with a V so my mind instantly tried to figure out what voice command it was :v:
Out of curiosity how well can jumpers "discjump"? Well boltjump but just wondering. Seems like it's a pretty big part of a pathfinder, though might be due to the launcher not doing much damage and they having extra reduction. Also why does everyone keep saying tribes is about speed. Sure you have to move fast, but I wouldn't call it a speed game. At least when comparing it to something like ut99 or q3. In some ways a 220km/h light can still be considered slow going by speed shooters. It's just really fast in game, due to limited acceleration from standstill and very projectile based weapons.

It's still about speed, it's just different. Just like in q3, if you stand still, you die. There's also rocket-jumping and a heavy focus on aiming skill. It's easy to draw parallels between the two.
