Finally unlocked Pathfinder. Although I love hearing and seeing the Tribes 2 spinfusor again, I'm noticing that I can't hit [i]anything[/i] with it anymore. I don't know if I was somehow subconsciously cuing my aiming off the medium model or that the light one is different in some very slight way, but I'm awful with it.
I really cant get the hang of leading my shots with the spinfusor, it's quite disheartening to only get a couple of kills a game, most of those assists...I really enjoy the game, I just suck at it
I was never good with the spinfuser and always liked the chaingun. Sucks I gotta play heavy to use it in Ascend.

Don't worry about the spinfuser, I sucked with it too when I first started playing but through perseverance got used to it and eventually got to a point where like 1/3 shots will connect in some way. Try to go for enemies that are within like 100-200 meters, if there's any way to gauge that mentally.
In my opinion, projectile inheritance is really counter-intuitive at the moment and is probably the cause of everyones sudden aiming troubles.

Or lack of? I'm pretty sure the projectiles don't actually take your velocity when you shoot them. Maybe I'm just crazy though. If they do, it's definitely not 100% of your velocity that gets added to the projectiles.

Now I'm confusing myself the more I think about it. I think they do actually inherit your velocity, but I remember the effect being much more pronounced in the old games.

No, if they did take your velocity, at least 100% of it, then you wouldn't have to lead so much when you are firing at someone moving parallel to you. I always thought it was odd how far you had to lead in situations like that.

It's the SUV of energy consumption. The pathfinder on the other hand can fly for forever and still has a technical boost from the egocentric perk plus it's impact nitron.

You can't change directions instantly to get people off your ass though.
Had two awesome matches in a row earlier today. First match was Katabatic, enemy had 4 points and we had 1, but we turned it the fuck around and got all the way to 4 before the time ran out and we tied. Next match we lost 5/3 but it was still pretty damn intense.

My favourite match has to be the one where both teams got to 4 caps insanely fast, the rest of the match was both flags getting knocked around for a good 20 minutes in the middle of the map.

Keep in mind that was on the TDM-variant of Bella Omega, so the disc would've had to travel around the entire level about 25 times.

It is, its 20% for side and back angles, 50% for aiming at the direction you're going.

When I open Tribes, I have no mouse, no menu and everything is black. What the hell is with that and how can I fix it?

I've tried a Repair Install and it just broke it further, I sent HiRez an email WEEKS ago and they still haven't contacted me and downloaded new Drivers. Is there a way to fix this?
I must be trying to play the beta at odd times or something but I have never been able to find a game in my 3-4 attempts.
I end up waiting for 5-10 minutes and just saying fuck it.

Must be doing it at strange times then. I noticed that right after an update it's like that, but other than that I've been fine.

I get the opposite - oceanic servers become full and I get shoved off to US servers :v:
Been kicking ass with the Brute. Easily getting +25 kills per round. Best part is reading the chat, and soaking up the enemy's tears.
How's the Pathfinder? I have enough tokens to purchase it. Is it like a faster soldier?

Totally different playstyle. Definitely worth having though unless you have jumper for some reason.

I tested Jumper. I had fun with it. Though I am more use to faster classes in these types of shooters.
