Is it just my bad luck or do a lot of people play on US Easy with 600+ ping?
Should I unlock Raider or something else? Got myself 9800 tokens. Currently got Ranger, Soldier, Pathfinder and Juggernaut. My favourites are Ranger and Pathfinder. I hate Jug, too slow.

The raider absolutely rapes indoors. Personally I'm going for the sentinel next though, since between pathfinder, soldier and juggernaut, sniping is the only thing I can't do yet (I find the others fill every other roll) :v:

If you like to go fast try Infiltrator. It's kinda underpowered now but still fun to play, great mobility and will probably be getting buffed in the future if Hi-Rez has any sense at all. Also you get to hunt down Sentinels.

One thing that infiltrators are surprisingly good at is flag capping. Flag capping specifically when there is a heavy defense. Not being seen while skiing towards the flag makes it far harder to protect the flag.
Plus if you are really good, you can then pass the flag off.
Getting a little annoyed with the people who are complaining that this game is not enough like earlier tribes games, as well as the people who are complaining that about the pay model they are using.
I have yet to use vehicles or even see people use vehicles, everyone just rockets off from spawn and skis to the enemy and fires explosives until they run out of ammo. There's really no reason not to though- but still the game would be more exciting if people actually utilized other features of the game once in a while.
Skiing around was fun for a few hours but now I'm just tired of the same exact thing every round, the community seems to be turning what looks like a game with depth into any other FPS.

Yeah! Skiing and explosives is turning this game into another generic fps - lets walk around and use hitscan weapons instead, that'll make it unique!
Seriously though, I don't get your point (I can't recall a single match that didn't have people using vehicles since the price reduction patch).
Do they have any intention of making the games larger? It'd be great to have 64+ people running around again in gigantic maps. I always loved in Tribes 2 how the bases were huge so it took longer than like 30 seconds to take out the generator.

I am not taking about just basic, or even more complex similarities. I am talking about the people who would rather it BE a copy of tribes 2.

I actually like jumper now, once you get the boost ability down like when to use it n stuff, it's a good class.

Fuck, I hate fighting Techs in bases. Their SMG does ridiculous damage and their grenades are one-hit-kills against lights (with a huge radius).

I got stuck on version .635 as well, but I ran the 'hirez diagnostics' and that thing updated, prompting me to install directx and stuff, then it was fixed.

Welcome to this patch. And I'm loving it. End every game going 10+ with one or two deaths and 10 flag defends.

That's why Jumper is fucking incredible. You can go from a llama grab to flying across the map in an instant

I used to llama cap in a Heavy in Tribes 2. Shield or repair pack, disc jump all the way back to base. :v:

A day or two ago, I was going something like 160 km/h through one of the tunnels by the flag on Arx Novena. As I exit the tunnel to grab the flag, a friendly heavy steps in front of me, stops me, walks over the flag and gets killed.

This is what I've been doing, llama capping the flag by using boost to get it then flying away and eventually getting 170+ in a few seconds, just as effective as a non llama grabber.

The worst part is they lose the flag, respawn and head straight there again just to die over and over to stop actual good cappers.
Which is why I stopped capping and left my pathfinder to collect dust. I can never get the flag before someone on my team llamas and even when I do there's never flag defense for the capture.
Now I just roll as really any class I feel like and concentrate on killing/distracting their defenders. I got two doombringers to follow me off the flag to behind the base on Katabatic and we finally broke a stalemate at the 5 minute mark. Won 1-0 :v:
