Do you still get ~50 tokens/match?
I got ~150, booster + VIP
Sometimes you play a game and the whole team is just having voice-command conversations.
'Is that the best you can do?'
'yes'
or

'quiet'
'no'
Don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this is funny but whatever

Heh, turns out that video was posted by the official facebook page.
Why is the arx map so.....pale?
I think it's a nice map and all but it'd be nice if it didn't look so bleached.
There is something sickeningly satisfying about hunting enemy flag carriers, crushing their hopes and dreams inches from the cap point. The fucking bastards, I'll make them all pay.
Is the blood red in the english version? I was shocked to see grey blood in the german version :<

It's grey for me, too.

Considering how new the map is, they're probably still tweaking the color correction. The map is pretty buggy - there's places where the river just suddenly vanishes, and if you touch it, you'll come to an instant stop.

Correct me if im wrong but, Tribes never had blood.
At least i don't recall it having, i do recall Tribes 2 having a blood mod though.
I think it's meant to be smoke, since the grey stuff only appears when you get exploded into bits by a base turret/beowulf cannon.
I've never played Tribes before, these are my first three matches which start off pretty rough as I'm getting used to the skiing aspect and not over using my jet-pack reserves. Towards the end using the spinfuser I started to get somewhat of a feel for it with a couple decent kills.
If there are more little tips etc I would really appreciate learning them.
Having been playing BF3 and loving it, this has been just as refreshing and rewarding.

Best thing I can suggest, is get more use and familiar with skiing mechanics. To do that, just put more time into the game.
I tried to play today, but is says its trying to find a sever to update me. Has anyone else had this happen?

The only Tribes that had blood was Vengeance, AFAIK.
You could blast players in Tribes 2 to smithereens, but you'd never see any blood.

I don't Need blood in fast paced games anyways, i actually like it now that the maps aren't painted everywhere like in quake 3
Speaking of Vengeance, I only bought a copy long after the multiplayer was dead so I must ask: what was wrong with it?
I'm not sure, I remember not liking it much when I bought it but I can't even remember why I didn't like it. :v: I do miss the chaingun though. It was a good weapon to finish off wounded players with, and it felt pretty cool.

-Battlefield style vehicle respawns. Instead of just letting players take whatever the hell they wanted, they had to sit around vehicle spawn points waiting for the current vehicle to be destroyed and respawn.
-Smaller maps (Though the Urban maps were fucking awesome)
-Idiotic balance - The sniper rifle used both all your energy and also required ammunition, yet it had less range than the chaingun.
-Less tactical stuff. There weren't half as many deployables, the command map was gone, and the bases were dramatically simplified.
-Slower gameplay.
-They cut huge amounts of content from Tribes 2. There were only 4 packs (Movement speed pack, energy pack, shield pack, repair pack). The vehicles were cut down to a rover, a tank, a fighter, and a gunship.
-Extremely simple base designs, in comparison to Tribes' usual labyrinth bases.
Tribes Ascend suffers from the lack of tactical stuff and small maps, but it otherwise plays very similarly to Tribes 2.
Am I the only one who wishes this game had some kind of squad system?
I'd love to be able to see my buddies icons on the map highlighted a bit more than normal, it's a simple touch that'd make playing with them so much easier.
Most fun I've had in a while
They need to add a $5 for 520 gold system. I was going to buy another class today but the way it worked out I was going to have ~300 gold left over that I would never spend so I decided not to buy anything. Considering I'm not the type to just leave extra funds on an account (OCD or something I do not know. I once waited until I could buy $30 of Microsoft Points just so I had zero points left after buying stuff(it was like a year wait)) I wouldn't spend more money on this game either considering the ratios still leave me with extra and I cannot afford it atm.

For some reason I don't remember Tribes 2 feeling as fast as Ascend does. It might be the maps though. Your speed kind of evened out in T2 cause the maps were all huge.
Any way to earn credits fast without buying anything? I really want that Jumper

Our accounts won't be reset after the beta will they?
No, I think our account progress will be saved over to the main game. After all anyone who spent gold on classes would be pissed if they lost them.

No, they will be saved. That is part of the reason the classes started out costing so much gold, as if had to increase it they would have lost out on some potential money, where as decreasing they can just give some back.

Tribes 2 had fast movement, but the smallest T2 maps are larger than the largest Ascend maps.
Ascend has faster paced combat. In T2, it took 2 nearly direct hits with a Spinfusor to kill a Light, and like 5 direct shots to kill a Juggernaut. The only weapons in T2 that could instagib was the Fusion Mortar, which had an agonizingly slow firerate and projectile and could only instagib Lights, and the Shocklance with a hit from the back.
In comparison, all the Spinfusors in Ascend (except possibly the light Spinfusor, dunno) can instagib a Light in with a foot shot, and the bullet weapons do about the same overall damage as the T2 Chaingun but with more accuracy.
Are keys for the beta still in demand? I just got one, and I would probably give the game a try but likely stop playing after once or twice since I'm a little busy with school right now.
I'd rather give it to some random FPer that would get more use out of it.
Yay got the pathfinder

They really shouldn't be.
I think you can get one off their facebook page & I got one for not doing anything other than having an account
