Basically, I think right now Infiltrator is too weak against Technicians (completely defeating the purpose of 'infiltrating') and heavy classes. Some things that would help the class:
-Become truly invisible, not almost invisible.
-Turrets don't target the player if they are in the process of cloaking (such as after shooting a weapon or being hit, etc.)
-Increased sticky bomb effectiveness against players? Perhaps by increasing damage on 'stuck' enemies, which would boost effectiveness against heavies.
-Alternatively, increase sticky "rate of fire" to allow generators to be downed faster.
-Better melee hit detection. I've been shafted by this a few times.
I'd say:
- Increased melee damage, or at least make the backstab perk be a default ability. You shouldn't need a perk to get a chance at doing a bit of extra damage needed to take out anyone who's playing a med/heavy class, ie 90% of defense players.
- Ability to prime sticky bombs, but your cloak goes into "mostly opaque mode" while priming.
- Reduce the phase time after being hit. The fact that you go into mostly opaque mode after being hit rubs me the wrong way, but I understand that it's there for balance. But still, it should last shorter than if you're attacking IMO.
- Maybe allow one or both of his weapons to deal damage to buildings, albeit with reduced damage dealt to encourage sticky bomb use. It's kind of annoying that as a class meant for infiltrating and sabotagery, you're less likely to take out more than one building than your average camping soldier/pathfinder.
I think increasing his melee range would help too since players very rarely stand still.
I've almost got 9800 tokens and that's left for me to unlock is the Jumper, Raider, and Scrambler. What would you guys recommend? I mostly do base defense, though I cap too if my team is doing terribly enough at it.

Raider. Good general purpose class. Jumper is fun to play but Pathfinder is more effective. Scrambler has niche use unless you are really good with the Arx Buster.

I can't hit shit with raider outside, only in the bases

That's the point of the raider, they're designed for indoor combat.

Scrambler just feels better in every way, you can chase outside and inside. Raider feels like the most ineffective base harraser of them all.
He's good, don't get me wrong but he's not all that great. It's fun if you want something different though

Has anybody been getting dreadfully jumpy FPS and terrible latency the last few days; even with a custom config I'm pushing 45 fps on normal, while I could run it on Ultra just the other day perfectly and I'm getting really random latency ingame.
I saw this was posted, I have the gif without "general" if anyone wants to use it for anything.

Wow the tribes community is so hilarious.
Tribes community is best community.
I never stab people that stand still. Only did it two times. I have stabbed over 10 guys while both moving at 150km/h though. Very fun to do.
thinkTank: tribes should measure speed in variations of "fast"
thinkTank: 100 = fast
thinkTank: 150 = faster
thinkTank: 200 = fastest
Lizardheim: 200 gotta go fast

Actually speed is measured more commonly in Sanics, at a conversion rate of 0.75 Sanics per Kilometer to account for people who claim to go at 300 Sanics when they were really going at 225 km/h. For more information, check out this instructional video with the sound at max volume.*

So I manage to get an e-grab, mere seconds before the enemy grabs the flag while going 210 km/h. Right as I am coming back to the base, the flag returns. The score is 4-4.....
I miss the flag by a less than a meter.
They go on to win the game 20 seconds later.
All my rage.

I hate when that happens. That's why I've been going for the extended flag reach perk for the pathfinder.
I just tied (lost?) a match from a 4-0 lead because the enemy team suddenly filled up with doombringers and juggernauts camping our flag while scramblers and brutes camped our generator and flag.
The worst part? I was stopped short by a METER by one such scrambler grabbing the flag as I land on it, flag in hand and ready to taunt.

It's like I'm actually in the Vidya4chan Synchtube.
I wish they gave the infil a gun that shoots bullets so it would be good at getting low health people from a safe spot instead of being nearly useless. Its not different enough from the rhino to be used very often.

What if the pistol could charge up like the BTX rifle? I think having that plus a shocklance would make a really cool class :v:
