Anyone hosting a server with mods installed will allow everyone with mods installed to join.
So if i host a server while using the realistic handling/driving mod and my friend joins, will it apply to him aswell? or will it just be for me
sorry for shitting up the thread with this
So what if i'm hosting a server when using a mod?
Do people have to use that mod on their side to join?
Say if you use the script that causes cars to fly around everywhere and you are the host, then it applies it to everyone that joins BUT it only works if you are near the host ingame. SOME Cheat scripts work regardless of whether the host has them.
Fear 3.
Got it while it was $7 from GmG. Has a really nice atmosphere to it, better than Fear 2's, but the gunplay still leaves a lot to be desired.
I find it funny that this one gives a lot of backstory between the two brothers, yet still Point Man has no name except for his brother calling him Point Man.

Anyone know why it won't let me put the game into 1920x1080, or if one of the ini files will let me change it myself?

GTA IV has a lot of client-side features, the host's PC only really keeps track of the general position of players, but its as if each player has a "bubble" around them in which cars and pedestrians are calculated on their own machine (until other people enter that same vicinity). That's generally why you see ragdolls glitching around and cars doing the same, as it's discrepancies between each person's scene being worked out.
I remember making my glock exert a huge volume of force, but it only worked while I was alone, if anybody ventured into my area, I'd shoot a car and it would go flying for a split second, then teleport back to its original position when the other clients pc's went "what the fuck, that's not supposed to happen"
to sum it up:
the gta iv devs were lazy as fuck with the PC port and the multiplayer features

seems like it
but when it actually works, it's hella fun
anyway, i seem to get kind of choppy gameplay on this new rig, anyone had similar issues?
it's like jerky, but the fps is stable. weird... didn't have this before

Speeds up and slows down in intervals? That kind of jerky? It has happened on several laptops that I've ran the game on, but no such issues with desktop rigs. I haven't found a real solution other than to downpatch it to 1.0.4.0 and disable steam updates for it.

Had the same problem, game stopped for a few miliseconds every keypress.
Go to control panel > administrative tools > services and disable Windows Event Log
That's not very good.
Depends what kind of cooling.
I use stock cooling, which is normal heat for my overclocked GPU.

i actually just turned down the filtering thing to 8x instead of 16x and it stopped

That has to be the most convincing video argument to purchase a game I've ever seen.
You've got me, as soon as I get my transfer I'll buy the game. It looks fucking fantastic!

I can't speak for all cases, but several late Asus notebook models have a throttling issue where the processer will clock down to ~800 Mhz temporarily when running demanding applications. Running something like ThrottleStop at startup will fix it until the next reboot.
This is me trying DiRT 3 with my new TrackIR 5. I drove without HUD and spotify in the background so I could hardly make out what the co-driver said, hence the shitty driving but there you go.

Wow. Can't believe I made it.

You have convinced me to get Track IR or Freetrack working. I can't play enough Dirt 3...

I have a g25 but the only good game I have to play it on is shift 2. Is dirt 3 something I should think of to buy?

Like the ONLY game I have that is good with my logitech G25.
I have shift 2 and Burnout paradise. Would like some more games to play with it and asked if I should think of Dirt 3 or something else.
Well if you only have those two it makes more sense. I advise Race Injection, wait for rFactor2, F1 2011, Project CARS and Dirt 3 sure, why not. But all the previous ones only if you really want to push your G25 to simulation levels. (Apart from F1 imo, it could have used a better driving model)

Oh - my - GOD!
Now I'm seriously thinking about reinstalling this legend.
Some incredibly terrible Arkham City gameplay, first time playing as Catwoman in any of the challenge maps so I fucked up a lot. :v:

then why post it?
You don't have to crawl as catwoman. She runs silently.
then why post it?
Because why not? It's media. It's from a game. Seems fit.
I'm sorry, the what now?
Shift 2 is pretty good. Best Need for Speed game since the first Underground, but personally I think the Original Road & Track and Hot Pursuit were the best of the series
