Eh, I think it's fun. The game is pure eye candy and the multiplayer is unique. Gameplay may not be the best, but the visuals/Fragile Alliance multiplayer mode makes up for it. Co-oping with a friend is good fun too. Lots of swearing and surprises to go around.

That's the thing. If you got past the camcorder gimmick the graphics were pretty piss poor, for what was meant to be a big release at the time.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I never saw a problem with the graphics. The camera gimmick may be covering everything, but it's part of the art style... so I consider it to be part of the graphics. *shrugs*

It's a really unappealing style, though. Granted, I kinda like the camcorder gimmick when it's done right, but it was way too overexaggerated in Kane & Lynch 2, and it certainly didn't help distract me from some of the terrible textures and such.
That, and K&L 2 was much too boring to play and terribly written for the art style to be a saving grace, even it it was good.

Personally, I liked the fast paced erratic writing. It was brutal, gritty, and something you never see in a game. It worked quite well with the characters too.
To each of their own I guess. :P
k&l 2's visuals were awful and the developers could get away with it because they could mask it behind their equally bad budget camera filter

Great game with good looks in my opinion, just way too short.

though the mapping was great. i'll give them that. really felt like the city was alive a lot of the time

It's poor because it's a trick commonly used so that the game can look better overall. Many games rely more on shaders and lighting than textures.
If you start dissecting games they do become pretty ugly very quickly.

All I remember is tuning cars while Riders on the Storm plays. Most Wanted is the best NFS though IMO.
