okay, donation perks etc which is in the spreadsheet on the last page is up! gonna update OP and stuff with it. only changes are that I haven't been able to add pulsing, colored name since I couldn't find a plugin which does that. treefeller has also been replaced with ChopTree2 due to being easier to use.

I'd say it's still 100% vanilla in terms of gameplay. most of the plugins on the server add no content, and those which do doesn't alter the gameplay, e.g multiverse.
McMMO, tried it out but I feel it's too much. so it's off the server for now. had some concern regarding the weed plugin since it adds content, but what do you guys think? personally I have no issue with it considering it's just a useless gimmick which doesn't affect the vanilla gameplay. and please, I'd love feedback. all the plugins I've been thinking of adding has been available for over 2 days already, open for feedback.

I like your selection of plugins, they're small and don't give one player a real advantage over another. It's basically vanilla with sprinkles for those who want to part with a little cash.
I've probably had more fun on this server than I have in the last 3 years of playing the game. I hear people saying similar stuff in chat too (you should get in the ts server!). Would be nice to hear others speak up about the server though.

Multiverse changes the gameplay quite a bit if you're restricting it or certain areas to donators. That's a fucking dick thing to do.
The McMMO thing was a bit much, but the multiverse and other things that I can just ignore, is fine by me.
If it's just rockets for fun or similar, it doesn't take away from my "vanilla" experience, and the multiverse is just like a second server. I really don't care if people goof around on that.
I have been talking about the donation stuff with several people during the last days, and I've followed the feedback I've gotten. I was unsure about the whole thing so I decided to post it in the thread, which I got no feedback to other than one or two guys on the server along with rombis. it's okay that you guys are upset about this, I respect that, but I'd really appreciate it if you guys too gave me some feedback regarding this so this entire situation could have been avoided.
there's a good reason for all this donation stuff. the server has been up for 3 weeks now and I haven't recieved a single donation other than from rombis. I never intended this to be as big as it became, it was supposed to be a get-away place for people to stay while Max No Relax was getting back up. I never really had the money to keep this up, but people wanted it to stay up and stupid me thought it was a good idea.
I'll remove plugins to get back to vanilla other than prism and openinv, since me and rombis kinda need that for grief prevention.

I'd say it depends on the plugin. I'm all for stuff like Multiverse, as it doesn't harm your game. How can it fuck with your game at all? It's 2 separate worlds. Instead of me getting bored and going to a new server, I stay on the same one and just change worlds.
Pred and I solved the issue. pluggins stay. unless a MAJORITY are against something the final decision is up to pred. those who have been part of the sever longer have more say. that's that.

The implementation of these plugins is a step away from that, and I was ok with some of the lesser ones like the kill counter or playtime counter. Donator perks in the form of plugins is not something I can support and I'm drawing the line there. Sorry, but that's not what I was led to believe and not what I will play with. I'll continue to use the server but I won't support it with my money if:
1. plugins that are opposite to the stated description of the server (survival, vanilla) are used. This is false advertising.
2. the thread is the only means of communication concerning the server, with the issues of the server being delegated only to this thread. This is for a variety of reasons- 1, I'm not frequent here- 2, not all players on the server are FP members- 3, dialogue in the server is instantaneous and there is no reason not to open dialogue there as well as here for users you know are frequent there but not here
3. special privileges are granted to donators that exclusively grant them a non-vanilla experience, including access to a creative world, or non-vanilla items or features. These are directly intimate with the concepts of vanilla and survival. GUI things such as kill counters, motd, and playtime notifiers or counters that do not affect the gameplay are fine. anything that actually affects the gameplay in a way that isn't survival or vanilla is bad. If I wanted that shit I could have went to any other server in the world. My money would have been better spent on a serve r that gave me a stack of diamonds per dollar I donate.
I understand where Pred is coming from but don't advertise the server as vanilla survival if it ain't going to be that. The excuse that the discussion was in the thread is bullshit, there was no notification that there was an ongoing discussion in the thread and the appearance of the plugins was sudden, so there was no other ability or warning that would give me or anyone else a word before they came in.
Seriously, either it's vanilla survival or it isn't. What we have here is not vanilla survival. That's what I was told this server was. That's what I've been trying to enjoy and that's what I want to support. If I knew you needed help operating it then you easily could have said something in the server where I would have noticed it and would have done something, I didn't even know there was an option to donate until today when the discussion came up.

I appreciate everything you're doing for the server, Pred. I'd donate, but I just lost my job recently and don't really have the funds for that. You gotta remember not everyone on this server has the ability to donate. Some people may not even have debit or credit cards, others like me may not have money to spare right now. I don't really think adding donator benefits really would make me donate more, especially if it's for goofy things like a weed plugin.

Are the plugins really so intrusive that you can’t experience vanilla survival with them on the server? You and anyone else who wish for the vanilla experience could very easily avoid any and all of the plugins; even if you donated it’s as simple as declining them.
I think the thread is the perfect spot for discussing the server as posts made here are permanent for all to see whereas discussing it ingame means any players who weren’t connected at the time won’t be able to see the discussion. Registration is open on Facepunch (you don't even need to be a member to view the thread), there is no reason someone who enjoys the server can’t create an account for free and join in.
The idea of donating is to keep the server running not to gain special abilities or to make a donator appear like a better player. Pred with the best of intentions thought up a way to encourage people to consider donating, so he receives anger because he wants to incite donations to keep what he’s worked so hard to build alive? The reaction wasn’t even civil people were straight up rude.
There’s no expectation for people to donate, as with any service it’s only meant for people who have cash to spare and don’t mind parting with it. Honestly I think this problem has been blown out of proportion and is drawing us away from enjoying the time playing.
I really hope this is a bump in the road as it’s been a great place to play and relax so far, I see no reason we can’t both continue to have fun here.
