Sounds cool. Maybe then I can finally build that moving drawbridge.
I've been a fan of CraftBook in the past, so I have no problem with it being implemented here.
I also quite like [url]http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/mcmmo/[/url] McMMO if people are interested in that.
my main concern with the plugins is that I'm afraid we'll stray too far away from vanilla, which I feel that many on here enjoy

McMMO is superior. And yeah, vanilla is a nice way to stay. If McMMO exists for 1.7.2 bukkit, I'll probably put it on my server, although I enjoy pred's for all the love.

From what I know based off many servers I've been on, McMMO stills works even though it hasn't been updated for ages.

Personally, I'd say no. Maybe simple stuff like /tpa, /spawn, and /home commands if they haven't already been implemented would be nice, along with private chests/doors/etc, but nothing more than that.
I'm not really a big fan of gameplay mods myself, although I'd be willing to give it a try. How about lockable chests/doors? Could be helpful.
So why's the server down?
Also Vanilla purist here. I'd be cool with no mod griefing through gamerule, or something like treefeller, but overall i'd rather a vanilla experience than having plugins.
I like vanilla but id like a home command though.
not a big fan of the /home etc commands. they really take out a lot of the risks involved in mining deep underground, or exploring far away.
reason why I haven't added a form of lockette is because I feel it'll get in the way for those who want to do their PvP, or generally if people want to borrow some of your stuff. if people take stuff without you knowing, or there is no war thingy going on, I'll easily find out who they are and punish them accordingly.

just to say, most of the crashing issues should definitely be fixed now. I checked my HW monitor and the memory usage never hit 2.5 GB which the VPS currently has. why it crashed tonight, no clue. it shouldn't crash as frequent as earlier at least.
