You could use a different save. It says Tracking Station Facility at the Space Center, allows you to select and resume a flight in progress. I just hope that means you can have multiple sets of environments.
it says simultaneous flights. how does that work :/ hard enough to get one rocket into space haha.
it says simultaneous flights. how does that work :/ hard enough to get one rocket into space haha.
Maybe you can just leave one in orbit while you launch another? EDIT: Now I want to see a bunch of Munar landers that all successfully land on top of each other.
You can pause mid-way a flight to launch another rocket.
The question is, what happens to the first rocket?
:) Space super Collider here I come.
The question is, what happens to the first rocket?
It is either going to have physics pause, or continue as normal.
perhaps it must be parked in an orbit that is round or something.
It is either going to have physics pause, or continue as normal.
I'm going to assume you'll need to be on a set path of some kind and it will just act like that ship is being warped at the same speed the main simulation is running, unless you get too close, where it will have to check for possible interactions.

Docking module DOCKING MODULE please harvester. It'll make simultaneous flights even better!
My God, how is it that we have no screenshots or videos of multiple launches yet?
My God, how is it that we have no screenshots or videos of multiple launches yet?
Is 0.14 even out? I haven't bought it yet.

Damn, I really should buy this game, I played the free version a couple of months back and it was pretty fun. Seeing all the new content and features I really want to go buy it, if I only could pay for it with the cash i have on my steam account. My paypal is eeringly empty and I have no way of really filling it up again.

Why can't I load my crafts in 0.13.1? Is it because of the new engine version? I looked at the .craft files of one that work and one that doesn't, there's no difference whatsoever in them, except for the "version = 0.XX.X" line. Even if I edit that line in an old .craft file it still won't load. [editline]a[/editline] I accidentally discovered that if you press ctrl+I, ctrl+B or ctrl+U the [B.][/B.], [I.][/I.] and [U.][/U.] tags are added. Perhaps there are more.
Wow! Finally did a succesful mun landing and re-entry onto Kerbal but then i crashed at 11mp/s because of the Mei Long advanced capsule's fuel tank exploding on impact.
Weird. I always thought mei long was super-strong.
The advanced one has a fuel tank and engine under it. I was expecting they would blow up like they always do, but didn't think the capsule would go with it.

If anyone wants a bit more information on that, I have 2 quotes for you:
Hi, Finally, it's time to announce what we will be working on these next few weeks. As you may know already, this update is the first of the full version of KSP. That means you'll need a pre-order to get it. That also means we want to add something big to the game, so we're not going to stick to the usual 4-week cycle on this one. It will probably take longer, but we want this update to make a difference. So, without further ado, these are our main goals for the 0.14 update: New: * Flights are regularly saved to file, to be resumed later. (yes, persistence ) * The Tracking Station Facility at the Space Center, allows you to select and resume a flight in progress. * Support for multiple simultaneous flights. * An integrated game update system, so you don't have to redownload each time there is a new update. * And some other stuff. Bug Fixes: As always, entries in green are already implemented, and we'll add stuff to this list as more features are completed. Cheers
*note: nothing is green yet
Wow, that's a lot of replies in a very short amount of time. Let me try to answer a few questions: Q: How will persistence work? A: The idea is to have one single 'flight scene', where all your flights exist simultaneously. If you go to the launchpad, you'll be adding a new ship to this scene, and if you use the new Tracking Station, you'll be opening a previously-saved flight. Q: Will you be able to see ships from other flights? A: Yes. provided you get close enough, that is. Q: Will there be docking? A: I'm not sure why docking is so often though of being a sister feature of persistence. The short answer here is that it's a long answer, and the long answer is this: Docking is a completely separate set of features. It has a number of requirements we need to meet before it's made possible. Those include creating new specialized docking parts, doing something about the crew system, and setting up a scheme for managing docked craft. I'm not saying it won't be on 0.14, but I'm not saying it will be either. We'll only know just how it will work once we have persistence in place, so we'll have to wait until we get there. Q: Won't the game get incredibly laggy with lots of orbiting objects? A: Probably, if not most likely. The idea here is to not load objects that are far away, and only keep a very basic abstraction of them updated. That way, we can have as few objects loaded as possible. Furthermore, objects that get far enough away would be unloaded. Q: Will time be stopped when out of flight? or, How will time affect ongoing flights? A: The idea is this: When the state of a flight is saved, we save not the immediate position and velocity of a ship, but its orbital parameters instead. That means time is independent of save file. If you let time run at the space center (there will be an option for that later), things will move around in orbit. This applies not only to the position of things. All time-dependent systems on the ships* (like life support and such), will be tied to this universal time system. Q: And what if a ship crashes into a moon when I'm not looking? A: The plan is to set up a notification-and-pause system whenever you're not actively commanding a flight that needs attention. For the most part, space flight consists of waiting around a lot, so if you can squeeze a mun mission in between an interplanetary mission's launch and capture, you're ok. But if that mission should reach it's destination, the game will let you know, and auto-pause* the game to let you get there. *possibly a difficulty setting Now, what I put down on the OP is nothing more than a list of our main goals for this update. It's not a complete changelog. It's just the things we want to add first of all, and that doesn't include the things we would like to add but are unsure if it'll be possible. Cheers
This time, lets all give a cheers to HarvesteR instead of the the other way around!
Nice. Hopefully launching spaceplanes off the runway is next.
Someday you will transport the space plane body into space using a separate rocket and then bring the pilots up in another module and dock with the plane before blasting off on your adventures.

KSP actually gets 30 FPS on my netbook now, thanks to HYPER-TRHREADING.
On my netbook I get so many fps that my screen starts to tear. [sp]in the credits[/sp]
The credits make me shed a tear. They're very well made.
I am thinking of moving windows back? it would require they be raised up. I dunno i feel is makes it seems more Russian/europian like lol.
updated the picture. as opposed to
Windows on second one look better :v:
