Especially with the new node part! I wish there were more space station parts.
Now I have even more parts on my to-do list. :v:
Returning to this game after several weeks, I discovered that the accumulated updates had done this to my favorite rocket:

This is the story of the brave astronauts tasked with testing my redesign

How the fuck do you play this game
Say, what would happen if...
Since these new save files will be saved as scenes that do not require the specific .craft file... could you not share scenes with other players?
Could we not share one giant scene and continue to add our own designed-stations into orbit?
...And how would collisions work between two orbiting items?

As someone said before, you could upload a save file with some Kerbals lost in high orbit.
You'd have people try to get them home!

I think they would work the same way timewarp does atm.

Dude, what if we put all the orbiting space stations from the thread into one big scene file? :gonk:
Have a huge Facepunch station. That'd be soooo cool if we got multiplayer. We'd mine asteroids, have battles, have races...
Oh god I just realized again why I fell in love with this game.

That's what I was trying to say man.

We can all build the FMSS! The Facepunch Multiperson Space Station!
Or FMPRS: Facepunch Multiperson Pile of Random Shit! Since that's all we can do without docking right now.

Well we can also switch between spacecraft, so i would say it is something more like "Facepunch multiperson pile of shit that you can crash into the fucking ground and into eachother"
Everyone would try to dock penises to the station.
If we do do this I will orbit my space station 1 meter above another space station, going in the opposite direction.
I'd be flying around a huge-ass starship with "female goodies" as a docking bay. :v:
Everyone would try to dock penises to the station.
Since docking is a deviant homosexual sex act, this comment makes all the more sense.

Before multiplayer is implemented (if it is) we could sync one save over dropbox, and by using symbolic links, we can all [del]play[/del] work on the same save file at the same time. Some people on FP did that with Sim City.
The comics and nonsense are bad enough, but the responses by Cap'n Skunky just push it over the edge.
I deceived myself into believing this would never happen, that everyone in the community was intelligent, that Harvester's kind and lax style would keep the forums afloat.
The forums are taking water, and the moderators do nothing but piss in it. We have to flood the forums with sanity and sensibility. Only then can good triumph.
Agreed. Capt_Skunky is really kinda full of bullshit, he claims to want to keep personal feelings and mod duties apart, but he can't as you see by the post. I talked with him via irc, (I'm Causeless), and it's ridiculous. Here's a log - http://pastebin.com/8FYQisG3
I know I shouldn't have brought this up again... but it's silly, really. If he's too scared to ban someone (thinking it would be bad for him being a mod), but also have the guts to step out opf the way of his mod duties to get someone banned, then he doesn't deserve mod at all, really.

That was me!
Also, the facepunch space station idea... holy shit. Also, don't use stupid forum posts to keep the save-file updated, use SVN or something.
Also, I won't dock my penis-ship with the (inevitable) vagina-station...
I'll ram right though it.

that way that thing ends makes me laugh. youa re expecting it to explain the results fo the experiment but instead ends in death
I did it again! To the moon and back safely! For my second time ever!

^I used this ship again -- all liquid boosters, droptanks, etc^
So it was a bit of an adventure. Instead of angling at 270 degrees, I angled at 90 degrees. I thought when you do this, you're supposed to let the Mun set, and wait for Mun-rise and burn... but I guess not? So anyways, I ended up BEHIND the Mun, and had to burn through two stages (including my lander legs) to 'catch up' with it.
By now I didn't have high hopes for this mission, so I was just winging it and mostly playing around and taking it easy. So I was about to blast past the moon at 2000ms+... and as a poster said earlier, that little engine is shit for slowing down in a hurry. So as I said, I ditched it and had to burn through my lander stage.
Luckily enough, that did the trick...

I thought this picture looked neat. I actually 'docked' the nose to the decoupler and pushed the engine around a bit.

As you can see, I had to use my Kerbol-return stage to land. I got a bit panicky once at the surface and ended up hovering erratically this-way-and-that, but luckily regained composure and stability and set it down at around 3ms. I'd need to use what fuel was left with this stage for my return trip...

Returning home was surprisingly straight-forward this time -- one of the few times where I did NOT become a new artificial moon. :P I had to use what was left of my fuel to intersect the atmosphere...

And then try to slow-the-fuck-down as much as possible. This is gonna suck once they add Plasma and re-entry physics.

I overshot land, so I just decided to do a splash-down with the chute.

All's well that ends well!
Is it possible to do a kamikaze mission, dropping off a payload, letting it on the ground, and then smash your vehicle into it?
Some men question if there is intelligent life on Mars... others in the entire universe. I for one, question whether there is intelligent life on the KSP forums.
Does anyone have a 3 dollars - I have 6.12 in my bank and I want to pre-order the game (Its 10.00 now)
Can anyone help me out?
I got tired of fighting with this big rocket I made, it kept blowing up/falling apart on the pad due to it's weight so I made some big heavy duty legs to hold it up.

Finally! It took me hours to get a huge Mun rocket I designed to STOP falling apart on the pad. Awesome, thanks!!
ALSO: What ever happened to this lander? And Xemit, for that matter?

Quite welcome, I'm actually amazed at how well they work, no more twitchy launches with heavy rockets.
Where can I find some good Mun-lander legs? I sorta wanna design my own Landers now.

Wait a second, the picture is obviously intended to look like it's been taken on the mun, but there's another mun in the background and not Kearth.
Hey,
sorry for asking a rather dumb question but I was wondering if someone could tell me where to find the mod for that space shuttle thingy seen in some screenshots here?
I'm talking about this one.

That must be the other mün that was recently discovered: Phäbos!
