Is there a way to see satellites after you deploy them? Like on the orbit screen.
Is there a way to see satellites after you deploy them? Like on the orbit screen.
No, at least not yet.
No, at least not yet.
What's the point then :C
What's the point then :C
E-penis, of course!

Fuck, after sending out my satellite, I accidentally pressed space too many times, bye bye rocket :C Though I think I'm actually gonna come back to kerbin. Box, make a yellow Ferrari F50 next!
I vote 1958 Corvette, ala Heavy Metal-style... complete with the top down to see Jeb!
That's why you stage lock.
Stage lock?
Stage lock?
Alt + L locks your staging so you can't accidentally stage.
It will be reentry heat eventually, but that isn't scheduled for this update. For now, all he's adding is the external temperature model, so there is a temperature difference as you move away from the surface, and into space. Anyhow, I've been playing here with the idea of delayed-craft switching, and it's an interesting notion. This do seem to be more under control when that happens, and I think this is just what we were missing all along. But I think I'm getting ahead of myself with this. There are still some issues with the whole craft switching thing. However, I've had an idea here for a backup plan, in case this active-switching proves to be too complicated to be practical. It's less convenient, but it is very much more reliable. Actually, this might be the best solution for switching between ships that are very far away. The idea then is this: If the ship we want to switch to is loaded (meaning it's nearby), we can simply switch focus to it, and that doesn't hurt the game at all. But if the ship is unloaded (meaning it's very far away), instead of trying to do this very difficult, very bug-prone active switch, we could just do an auto-save and reload the scene again, with the new ship in focus. The loading time isn't so much more than the times I've been seeing here with delayed-switching anyway, and we can save ourselves from a LOT of needless trouble. One more thing then. For craft switching, I'm thinking the Tab key is a very uncool way to do it, because it is cycling the vessels list, forcing you to look at all your ships to find the one you want. And this is overlooking the most suitable place for such things: the map. So what I want to do is drop the Tab-key switch, and make it so double-clicking a vessel on the map will make the game focus it. That would be a much, much better way to do it, and this, coupled with the scene-reload switch method, will save us several days of problem solving here. Reloading the scene with an arbitrary vessel as focus has already been proven to work here, and it should be fine. I'm happy about this. Why didn't I think of it before? Cheers

No, the map was never meant to go away, but an orbital UI overlay is planned to complement it. In fact, the idea of an orbital UI overlay has now evolved into something I'm calling UI Master Modes. That is, not only would you get orbital information on the UI, the entire UI would adapt itself to show you the most relevant information for orbiting, surface flight, or docking. That's not planned for implementation until later though, but it has grown into a more complete concept. Cheers
I'm wondering how the multiple scene thing (switching from Mün focus, Kerbin focus, etc...) will work with the multiple crafts. Does anyone know if HarvesteR has commented on it?
I don't think he has. [editline]edit[/editline] Does anyone know how to increase the strength of attachment points on parts?
Not possible
Is that for attachments points or strut connectors?
You need to use those parameters somewhere in the cfg:
breakingForce = breakingTorque =
I don't know the default values so you'll have to experiment a little bit.
I thought those were forces from being pushed against other parts. Not the node itself.
I'm wondering how the multiple scene thing (switching from Mün focus, Kerbin focus, etc...) will work with the multiple crafts. Does anyone know if HarvesteR has commented on it?
I can't see it causing problems as long as he assigns each craft it's own focus.
Anyone got any good flying songs?

Those songs are nice, but i need some more.. anyone got any more suggestions?
I have a huge collection, but I don't play it because time compression came about.
I have a huge collection, but I don't play it because time compression came about.
Could you post some of this huge collection?
Could you post some of this huge collection?
I'll need a minute, but sure. [editline]26th January 2012[/editline] Btw most of it is Ratchet and Clank OST.
