Zombie ghost page leave this place! Any eta on those station parts, Pelf?
ETA on your parts, Saturn?
I don't know when my parts will be available. I will make the last few parts tonight and if cardboard is on I'll send them off to him. Supposedly they all need to be remade from scratch in a better modelling program because Sketchup doesn't export cleanly. I don't think CB is going to texture them, either, so I'll have to create textures for them all. I'd like to have these out by the 11th of February.

RED DAWN HAS LANDED
Now do that but then launch the ICMB's at Kerbal from the Mun.
Finally landed on the mun with stock parts, sadly they will die there, oh well.

Mid to end of this week hopefully. I want to at least have some sort of texture on these parts first. Don't know if that will happen though.
For a pre-release of sorts though.

Here's my latest circum-navigational space plane.

Meh.
Am I the only one who doesn't get it? Is it just the way he looks, or is there a backstory?

You shoulda been born with one. Looks like you're a girl.
If anyone is interested, I need a station module textured like this:
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/76/ISS_Destiny_Lab.jpg[/t]
I'm going to use the texture as a base for the other modules, fyi.
If you're interested, UV layout is here, .blend file is here if you don't like the UV layout. To texture the railings, just make a solid block of color over the area they're in like in this placeholder texture I've been using.
I downloaded the blend to look at your UV... why not put all the vertical rods overlapping, and all the little connector rods (that are at the same place along the part)? You'd save some UV space and you could give them all a nice AO.
Speaking of, it was a bitch getting it set up to bake an AO because I was trying everything I could think of, only to figure out it was hidden from rendering. :geno: And then I had to play with the AO settings because I was getting some pretty terrible results, and it was trying to render both the new AO and the old texture (solid colors). :suicide:
In the end, though, I've got a baked AO, probably going to redo the UV.

Now you just need to make it a triplane!
Now you just need to make it a triplane!
I would, but it would make so much lift that it would backflip endlessly
Yeah but a super long tail could counter balance it, especially if it contains fuel.

What happens when you use the fuel in the tail then?

did up the nozzle textures. includes:
Regenerative Ablative Coated Cooling Lines

Exhaust Gas Thermal Barrier Extrusion Vents :)

:D
Here ou can see how well the Exhaust gas form the Turbo Pump really constants the super hot combustion even a few feet out the end of the nozzle.
