i will have to make the Durgun a separate Pack i suppose. and even if you don't like the pack the engines are really nice :) and it is all balanced :( [editline]4th January 2012[/editline] it is like should i even make this piece of junk? People will be so picky yet they play other mods where stuff just falls apart for no reason or wobble they way into space. Suppose i will keep it for myself :D
Goddammit. I want that. Like a lot. It kicks the ass of Silsko's 'Vanguard'. D:
lol don;t worry i will make a blank set eventually when i release next. and most of the parts can be used with other parts. the only part that doesn't work with other pieces is MAYBE the 2nd stage and most of the RCS tanks. [editline]5th January 2012[/editline] Hey guys in your opiton should i make the linar spike engine or merlin 2s to get this thing to space? AK what engines?
Linear spike! :D
Don't worry it will be done some day :) Engines. any opinions? I could make the crazy flat ones or just make it use conventional engines. what say you?
How about some conventional-looking ones? Sort of like the X-33 or X-38.
How about some conventional-looking ones? Sort of like the X-33 or X-38.
I thought the X-33 used a linear aerospike.
Just installed 326 parts into my Parts folder. The hard part is loading, not making functional rockets.
Just installed 326 parts into my Parts folder. The hard part is loading, not making functional rockets.
If you think that's bad, try loading that same number in version .12 or lower.
I think it would be cool if they added support/functionality for vacuum nozzles. It could make the engines more efficient in space. [t]http://www.spacex.com/assets/img/20100506_nozzle.jpg[/t]
hmm i have a good Idea of the engine i want to make. i made it in my head at work :D now to get to business.
I thought the X-33 used a linear aerospike.
You're right, my bad!
and the x-38 has no engines at all lol you guys notive none of those X-3 whatever things ever become their full fledged likness? I mean really only the X-15 became the A-12 sort of

[t]http://www.spacex.com/assets/img/20100506_nozzle.jpg[/t]
They really should add an atmosphere based modifier for engines. Then we could have actual jet engines that don't work in space, and other engines that do better in space.
They really should add an atmosphere based modifier for engines. Then we could have actual jet engines that don't work in space, and other engines that do better in space.
Then we can have true airplanes! Something I also want are scramjets, imagine just cruising Kerbin's upper atmosphere at really high speeds, that'd be really cool.
Yea, that'd be even cooler if there were some more interesting things to fly over like cities and forests and shit. And enemies to shoot down. Hell, it wouldn't even need spaceships if it had that.
Maybe all those ICBM mods would be useful now if that were implemented.
:D anything with doing is worth doing right. I think i like making engines models more than ship parts.
I finally made it to the Mun guys! Although I accidentally jettisoned my landing module on the way down, my escape rocket still slowed me down enough to not crash. It was awesome!
Kind of went crazy just now designing a Munshot V. I learned how to land with RCS only during tests on Munshot IV, so I designed a new craft with no fuel for regular thrusters above the Munar deorbiting stage. This thing is a beast, it incorporates Mei Long, Durgun, Probodobodyne, SIDR, and Noyuz into one compact craft that looks amazing/realistic. I'll post pictures when I land on the Mun with it.
Heh, they have a thread talking about signature sizes in the forum forum section. Go share your thoughts! http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=4358.0
Ah, another Munshot-III launch at the Kerbal Space Center. The guys are still a little bothered by a few aborted night launch attempts, wherein the initial thrusters were apparently afraid of the dark. With the launch moved to the following morning, even Jeb isn't quite so enthusiastic about loosing his sleep. Come on Jeb, where's that bright smile of yours? There ya go. Hey, hold on a minute, I thought the Munshot-III had a longer nose than that. Bob is wondering if they forgot the lunar module. Undaunted, our three heroes leave Kerbin behind just as they usually do with this getup. The second stage engine is a champ! Bill still hasn't figured out how Jeb pilots the craft on days when the payload faring fails to open. There we go, the doors are open and- hey what's this? This is a highly unusual craft! Must be the new model. Let's take a closer look. This is like the 20th time Jeb's been to the Mun since Thanksgiving. He insists that this is how he goes camping. Still though, this is a pretty slick little machine. Bob has been trying to cheer Jeb up over the loss of his favorite part of Mun landings- landing engines. "Hey Jeb, you know where we could find tons of engines?" "Home."
Liftoff!
I always aim my rocket for the Mun but always I end up flying miles past it. Damn perspectives.
I always aim my rocket for the Mun but always I end up flying miles past it. Damn perspectives.
You aim for where the moon is going to be, not where it is right now.
You aim for where the moon is going to be, not where it is right now.
The mistake I made when I made it to the moon. I got out to the moon's orbit, then had to accelerate quite a bit to catch up to it.
You do something called a Hohmann transfer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hohmann_transfer_orbit
With perfect dramatic music.
You do something called a Hohmann transfer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hohmann_transfer_orbit
So that's what it's called.

:D I see my stuff. thanks :D
Awwwww yeeeaaaahh. First time to the moon and back. Shit was awesome. Here's the ship: Here's the lander:

Use something else, those legs will just clip through the ground. I need to get round to fixing that, I'm sorry.
Use something else, those legs will just clip through the ground. I need to get round to fixing that, I'm sorry.
I know they do, but it worked well enough.
