Yeah he does but the point is that the camera is the best tool you can have in the city of gold, other than the mattock, because you can literally ghost forever.
In the actual city itself it's pointless because there aren't all that many gems in the city of gold. It is fucking awesome for hell though.
why are people carrying the key?
you have to take the key from the mines at the beginning of the game to the end of the ice caves in order to unlock the temple shortcut, the tunnel man comes across a locked door and needs the key to open it for all i care he can go get it his own goddamn self
why are people carrying the key?
To unlock the shortcut to the temple. Pointless but gotta 100% that journal!
Really? Skip to 1:30 if you really want to
I had to watch that a couple times, even though you slowed it down at the end. That's like the bullshit to end all bullshit.
I want meatboy god damnit. I've gone in the worm with climbing gloves and 4 hp, and a maggot pushed me in a pit of spikes. I went in the worm with 7hp a cape and shotgun, a bat hit me in midair and I fell in a pit of spikes. I went in with 12hp a jetpack and climbing gloves, a motherfucking monkey jumps on me and stuns me above a pit of god damn spikes!

Maybe just jetpack over the monkey instead of trying to whip him or something?

This game is really frustrating in how it feels like you can get so incredibly far only to die in an instance and not make any whatsoever progress. I sorta wish this game would have a little more collectibles or achievements along the way to make you feel less like you're just wasting all your effort whenever you die without having unlocked a new character or helping the tunnel man. I don't particularly mind games with permadeath and high difficulty, however games like FTL, Isaac and Rogue Legacy usually help keep your interest up by rewarding progress with achievements and new unlockables. I mean... I still enjoy this game, however I also get frustrated with it more easily.

You could always try for journal entries. But yeah, the further you get, the further it goes with no progress on your next tries. If you manage to get to hell, you wont progress before getting to hell again and then a few levels in, which might take you a hundred tries more.
Oh god the sound when you pick up the machete What the fuck is that supposed to represent
I just brought this game, within 4 tries i made it to the jungle, then a frog killed me and exploded straight after. I'm in love!
Oh god the sound when you pick up the machete What the fuck is that supposed to represent
I think it's just a general "picking up weapon" sound. Same as the shotty isn't it?
I think it's just a general "picking up weapon" sound. Same as the shotty isn't it?
Nope. As far as I know it's unique.
I messed up so badly on the daily challenge today. $4300 on 1-1 to an early set of spikes. The worst part is, about 3 seconds before dying, I thought: "Wouldn't it be funny if someone died to those spikes?". And then it happened. And it wasn't funny.
How do you get into the worm?
How do you get into the worm?
Throw dog on orange ball Jump on orange ball Wait for worm Useful fact: you can just throw the dog on the ball. The worm is gonna eat him and you'll get 1 hp after you finish the level.
How do you get into the worm?
Throw the damsel onto the red/pinkish sticky round things in the jungle and then jump onto it yourself and wait. edit: these things
How do you get into the worm?
Throw damsel at the orange sticky things. Well I'm late.
The damsel has to be on its running state tho, if you jump while carrying her (stunned state), it won't work.

Keep in mind the Worm level will be filled with Jungle enemies if you do it in the Jungle or Ice Caves enemies if you do it on the Ice Caves.
I went round to a buddy's house and we played some 3p deathmatch. Surprisingly it's really fucking fun. It feels a lot like a little microcosm of a boardgame, almost, because of the way that the strategy emerges.
The damsel has to be on its running state tho, if you jump while carrying her (stunned state), it won't work.
You can jump onto it and throw the damsel while on it and it will stick immediately. It's easier than trying to aim for it, though throwing the damsel from a distance and then jumping on is good if you want to keep a weapon by freeing your hands from the damsel, picking up the weapon, and then jumping on.
Today I decided to go for something fun and decided to drop my shotgun for a freeze ray. God damn the Freeze Ray is good, never again will I keep a shotgun instead of it.
Today I decided to go for something fun and decided to drop my shotgun for a freeze ray. (and I guess anubis is immune to it?) Don't need spread when the bullet is so fucking large. By the way, you can whip tiki men boomerangs aimed towards you mid air, just like arrows.

Whereas the Shotgun decimates everything infront of you.

A single shotgun pellet stuns almost every common enemy and has massive knockback, the faster firing rate is better too.
Freezeray instagibs vampires, big spiders, queen bees, and according to the wiki it kills anubis and anubis II as well. (also really good against the scary spike demons in hell, and, IIRC, can be used to kill the yama bodyguards without throwing the bomb boxes into the lava) Even against smaller enemies you can just freeze them on ground level and do a super mini jump (equal of a 1 block tall passage) which will kill them. The range is indeed awful but I think the firerate is the same, I'll test it tomorrow though, to be certain.

Also the Shotgun lets you take care of many enemies at once.
I worded that pretty awfully, I meant that you can just do a really small jump and it still counts as jumping on top of an enemy, even in a 1 block tall passage with no room for jumping. Yeah shotty is better against swarms of smaller enemies. All in all they are both pretty great weapons though. Shotgun is more all-purpose while freeze ray is better against the beefier enemies.
