First time I got the scepter it ended up angering the merchant off screen and I got shot in the face
When you use the scepter it will target a Croc Man who will then teleport on you.
If there is no Croc Man on screen, one will spawn as soon as you use the Scepter.

Last time I bought a hired hand for sacrifice, the altar was just a few blocks away from the store but in between there was a gap going down a level. So of course the hired hand runs our of the store right after I buy him, falls down before I can grab him, and runs straight into a tiki trap.
The previous time I bought the hired hand, it was at the start of the level and I intended to sacrifice him at the end. Instead, he threw a rock at an enemy on the other side of me, hit me, and knocked me onto spikes.
Never buying a helping hand again.
I really disagree with how I died in this daily. I was pushing an explosive block towards a ledge, when it spontaneously exploded. There were no particulates of blood or debris to trigger it, I have no idea why it did.
I got killed by being pushed back by the shotgun's knockback into a maneater.
I just bought some hired help for shits and giggles earlier.
He gracefully jumped into spikes not even a minute afterwards.

You should generally be very fucking scared of the explosive crates, they are incredibly unpredictable.
They seemingly randomly explode but there is always a reason, a scary and hard to see reason.
I swear, this game is sentient. Every time I get to that point where I just [I]cannot[/I] afford to lose my progress the fucking game lays out the most bullshit chain of event that get me killed every time.
Just died in front of the door to Olmec on the Daily Challenge. :(

Didn't even ghost as well, this seed was shit for ghosting.
Also didn't anger shopkeepers. :rock:
I noticed that if you crawl and then stop moving, your character will stand up before re-entering the crouching pose.
I am deeply annoyed by this animation error.
I bought the game. Time to see how it is.

It works well with a controller, but it's not totally necessary. I got really good at the free version using the keyboard only.

I beat olmec on the daily :dance:
I would have made it to hell, but I got cocky trying to get the kapala on 2-3, and I jumped on spikes while trying to avoid the ghost...
I swear to god almost every run of mine is pretty good but as soon as I go to the daily challenge, it's some dumb death in an early level. How that just happened to me with a shotgun/jetpack combo with spikes at a measly $5200 after spending money is embarrassing to see on the board.
So I mentioned many pages ago that I was planning to do a kind of LP/tutorial/strategy guide for the original Spelunky... But since I could never get the recording software to work right, I'm thinking about just doing videos for the newer game.
I've done one video, almost 6 minutes long, but I don't know if I'm satisfied with it. I might just completely start over, because I don't think it's that helpful or entertaining, and I probably need to get into kind of a groove first. Plus it doesn't help that I accidentally left Fraps' FPS displayer on in the corner.
I dunno, I could post the first attempt here if anyone wants to see it, but like I said, I'm not super-confident in its quality. And if I'M not happy with it, other people will probably think it's the worst.
