Damn son, this game is hard. I've only been to jungle once I can already see myself having at least 50 hours in this game.

All the music files are .oggs, so in theory they should be easy to mod. The sound effects are in some weird file format though, someone will probably have to make a tool to mod those. I'm gonna replace all the new songs with the old ones (so basically the Mines, Jungle, etc will sound like they originally did)

The Sound files are .wad's and therefor I don't know shit about them. Codewise I don't know shit but I've had 0 issues modifying the ingame text.
once I get the game tomorrow I'm gonna mess with a hex editor and try to figure out how its coded

Hopefully some cool mods are able to be done. I was hoping to be able to remove the Ghost that comes at 2:30 min. so I don't have to rush through levels, but then again I can see the game being easier going at your own pace.

The soundtrack for the caves in the original was one of my favorites and it got replaced by a much more mellow tune.

I remember this game as freeware years ago. It seems they've added a lot since then. Is there a changlelog?

Can tend to be frustrating with the climbing gloves. -Spike shoes no longer allow you to stomp Maneaters -There's a new separate button to enter doors, now you can actually throw things upward while standing in front of one. -Damsels are no longer near-unkillable and whipping can hurt them. -Pistol and Bow removed -Arrows have heads, the headless arrow will remain once it hits something -Tiny critters on the floor -Treasure can be affected by whipping and can set off arrow traps when falling -New areas (ie Haunted House, Worm, UFO, Hell) -Tomb Lord no longer drops scepter, a new enemy Anubis does instead -AI helpers called "Hired help" can be purchased in some shops -Some shops contain a mystery gift. It could be anything from a Jetpack to a Teleporter to a Rope Pile, try your luck. -Gambling game is a roulette wheel instead of dice roll -Kepala doesn't require you to touch the blood anymore. -Whipping pots will not kill the enemy inside it anymore, approach with caution -Added Boomerang, Camera, Web Gun, and more. (34 total, original had 23) -Tons of new enemy types (56 total, the original had 25) -The block under the exit can now be destroyed, the exit door itself is on a thin platform that cannot be destroyed but can be passed through. -New setpieces (from mineshafts to beehives to alien spaceships) -New floor events ("My skin is crawling", "It feels like the fourth of July", etc) -Boulder trap has way more momentum than before -Spectacles give you better visibility in dark levels -Dark levels don't give you a box of flares, but merely a single torch. Candles in the stage can be lit with this torch for some gold. I probably missed a bunch, but that's all I can recall.
