The World Is Not Enough for N64 had bot support, and was pretty damn fun
Those guys were ruthless circle strafers
Killzone also had pretty cool bots. They were a bit dumb sometimes, like when they stopped walking and camped at the sandy hill path on Beachend. You could just snipe them all there, with a few "1shot2kills" But when it came to using shotguns or grenades, just fucking run, or you will die. I used to play with a friend of mine. He and I vs a team full of bots on hard. Great fun, and actually tense since we aren't used to playing FPS games with controllers.

To me, splitscreen with my friends is infinitely more fun than any kind of online multiplayer.
Perfect dark simulants. Fill your friend's team with meatsims and yours with darksims. Heh.
There's really nothing better than making a shitload of "easy" bots and fucking them up one by one. For egsample in CSS, you vs 15 bots on easiest. Or even better, you and your friend on lan vs bots. This was so fucking awesome, seriously.
Hello everybody! I had to register here just because this thread and post this as judging from the active threads, people seems less "adolescents" here in this forum or at least this section :) As a oldskkool gamer who played AQ2 (about 1998)/CS -betas to version x (not 1.6 online!) maybe over 2000 hours without bots in the age of sweet 14-18 it was fun back then, but lets be realistic. As or if you were an adult, lets say 25+, would you really bother to play against random teens anymore ? I know that there are probably more good hearted or at least civilized but still.. You KNOW they can cheat, you KNOW how they mess around (in the net as in the street), you KNOW that you suck as a newbie and you DONT have hours and hours to end train yourself waiting to respawn just because you want to learn game mechanics and maps. I am somewhat frustrated for the whole situation, yeah! As a partial lan organizer, admin, long-time player etc. I simply dont see the fun anymore without bots. Couple of beers, games with easy bots and a friend with computer in the same room and gaming is what it should be, fun. Hell, you can even drop the beers, cheers :)

World is not Enough on N64 had bots. And it was fun
Check dates please, two year old thread.
Topic is still relevant, why else I bothered to write a book here :)
YEAH ! Im sure that kids like to play together ;)
The bots from unreal tournament 3 were really challenging.
I haven't played any other Unreal Tournament since 2k4, can you still customize the skill, preferred weapons, playstyle and models of each bots in the new(er) ones? I love bots, even in older games when they were given unfair advantage to make up for their faulty AI. If there's one thing I've always loved and still do, it's when a game without official bots gets a mod for it, shit, I remember spending hours placing movement nodes in HL opposing force deathmatch maps.
