Aw yeah! Got the PS4-controller working on my PC via Bluetooth (and fooled into thinking it's a xbox-controller). And the touchpad works like a laptop mouse!
How?

Buy a ps4?

That, latest version (1.2.2 at the moment) is enough to make it just work with a wire.
With bluetooth, I managed to get it working by following this:

It also tells you how to use the DS4 Tool in the first link.
Though I had to fuck around with the drivers of my shitty bluetooth-dongle to make it work. I had to remove its own drivers and install Windows' own Generic Bluetooth Radio for it to actually detect and pair the DS4.

I've tried.
I want to go digital only since Sony is having every game available on the PS Store, but it'll probably end up not happening with digital prices never leaving the $40-$60 range.
My PSN is Supreme-Blitz. I only have BF4, NFS:Rivals and Killzone Shadowfall but I dont have ps plus yet

Yup.
PSN: StableMist
please don't judge, it came from one of those xbox generated things(which I've changed on my xbox account, but I was extremely disappointed that PSN doesn't do name changes), and was before the current generation of MLP.
Games:
Knack
NFS
Infamous: Second Son(when it releases later this week)
And a few of the PSN+ titles.
Really bothered by the PS4's lack of backwards compatibility. My PS3, which had to be refurbished in 09, needs refurbishing again now, and if the PS4 had backwards compatibility I'd buy it in the blink of an eye. But no.
PS3s aren't even cheap. They're like 300 goddamn dollars still...only $100 less than the PS4.
If the PS4 had backwards compatibility it would be >$600.

Explain please.

you can get a refurbished launch premium ps3 (the best kind) for ~$160 or cheaper now.

because the PS4 isn't powerful enough on it's own to emulate the PS3 through software it would need to do it by cheating and taking PS3 parts and using them in the PS4 for backwards compatibility, putting in all those extra parts would make the PS4 more expensive than probably even the Xbox one, so it isn't financially suitable especially for a company that's been eating debt-shit for the last decade. they would do it if they could cheaply, but they want to be ahead this generation.

Oh, I understand. I forgot about how difficult virtual emulation of consoles is. PS1 and PS2 emulation would have at least been nice, but I can see where confusion would come about in that case, and really, PS1s and PS2s are like $20 now.
I'll just have to hope PS3s go down in price soon. $200 for a new one (that has more than the embarrassing 12gb capacity) would be easier to swallow.

Oh ughhhhhhhhhh, I just realized that if I wanted to buy a new one...I couldn't. They removed backwards compatibility on PS3s in 08 or 09 IIRC (TBH I don't understand that move either). I'd have to refurbish mine or get a used model. Refurbishing mine it is.
