Age of Mythology - Games - Facepunch Forum

I still play this regularly on LAN parties with some friends. My cousin always kicks everyone's ass. Maybe 'cause I tend to build for looks only, instead of rushing everything to get an army like he does :v:

On island setting, I always tend to fortify the SHIT out of my starting little patch of land. That's my HQ, so to say.

That wouldn't be weird if there was actually like, a capital, but there's not. It's just another settlement, most of the time I end up moving my main city to a better position. Just wondering since this is an "age of" thread, does anyone own the age of empires games and have them installed? Not promising a game but I just found all my old age of empire games with expansions and cd keys so I figured someone else here might have their copies still.

I actually thoght about making an "Age Of" megathread, but i figured this one will do. We could ask a mod to change the title and OP to, well, change OP.

An 'Age Of" megathread sounds nice but if I added info about the rest of the age of series it'd just be copy pasta from wikipedia. I really only grew up with AoM, so writing all that on my own was pretty simple.

Well, I found my AoM disks, but not my Age of Mythology: The Titans disks. Losing a game is such a depressing feeling :(

I can't find anyone to play Age of empires 3 with, it sucks. I wish I had played mythology, I played both other age of empires.

Wow, I've started to play multiplayer and I know one thing for sure so far: I'm really really bad. I mean, I really am. I don't build up fast enough, among other things.

Okay what, I just got hardcore rushed by Oranos. I mean, at first it was just a few Turma and some prometheans, but then suddenly like 30 goddamn Turma and I couldn't do anything. How do I deal with that?

Focus on military early is your best strategy.

First thing I do is building a decent defend force, and then I proceed to fortify the fuck out of my place.

To anyone looking to breathe life into AoE3, [URL="http://impmod.blogspot.com/"]this mod[/URL] makes the singleplayer about 50x better. not sure if its possible to run a LAN game with it, because ESO doesn't support mods at all.

Though, I don't see anything about villagers requiring gather points... that always pissed me off about AoE3.
