I thought Solus Greatsword had augments from the begnining?
The one you that you get as a present from Lady Grey has no augments.
And if you buy it in Fable (not TLC) it comes with an extra augment slot.
The thing with Fable 2 is that it was basically Fable with a loss of that magic touch cause they didn't do much new. Fable 3 is featuring so much new things and it is revolutionizing the series as a whole so I believe the magic touch will come back.
I just think Fable 2 would have been a much better game if it followed more in the first game's footsteps.
I mean, Fable 1 had a better story, not very original by any stretch of imagination, but it was well told with cutscenes that really delivered on the drama. Fable 2 on the other hand had no cutscenes.
Fable 2's Crucible was pathetic compared to Fable 1's Colosseum. In the Colosseum you actually felt like you were in an arena, watched and cheered by spectators as you were fighting for your life, and to finish it off, you had to fight a huge unique scorpion boss. It had a great atmosphere. You also had to make a big choice whether or not you're gonna kill one of the main characters. It felt meaningful and exciting. Do you get to choose whether or not you can kill Garth or Hammer in Fable 2? I don't fucking think so.
The Crucible was just a boring gauntlet where you run through a damp tunnel and fight the exact same type of troll you can encounter outside the arena. Whoop-de-doo.
Also, what the hell happened to the spells? Fable 1 had 18 spells and Fable 2 had 8. I really missed the Battle Charge, Berserk and Evil Pentagram Soul Suck Horror.
Jack of Blades was also a much more interesting villain than Lucien, there's just no competition.
I'm really glad they're bringing cutscenes back into the game in Fable 3. I also wish there are real difficult and impactful choices in the game, and not just stuff like "Will you stop child labor y/n?"
The main thing I'm hoping makes a return is the difficulty. Fable 2 was incredibly easy compared to Fable 1 which featured some intense boss battles.
I hope the trolls are more like the ones in Fable. The Fable 2 trolls are annoying as shit. I have to hit a small spot on their body to damage them, and there's that fucking spot behind their arm you can never fucking hit.
FUCK YOU TROLLS! :argh: I don't even fight trolls unless the game forces me these days.

I have to agree, especially the Jack Of Blades. The Jack Of Blades is the one villain with an actual villainous voice. Unfortunately Fable:TLC decided "Yeah lets give him a deeper more generic demon voice!" and messed it all up.
crucible was bullshit especially that fucking troll at the end, god help you if you didn't have Time Stop
"Hero your will energy is low, watch that."
"Your health is critical! Do you have any potions, or food?"
"Ahh, there's an important quest card in the guild for you!"
"You are now famous enough to use the middle finger expression"
I kept tips on just because of how hilariously useless they were. :v:
turned that shit off
fuck that old man, I hated him and was glad to see him perish
I'm still debating whether to get this for Xbox or PC.
Holy shit I need to reinstall Fable now.
I have never played a Fable game and the third game seems like something I will buy.
I was intrigued by the second game but it wasn't on PC.
please at least rent the second or first games and play through them, the first game is excellent
Yes and while the second one may not seem as great as the first one it still has some amazing and fun things you can do. Plus, the decisions you make in Fable II will carry over to Fable III.
The character customization in Fable 2 is amazing.

My guy looked like a Witch Hunter from Warhammer Fantasy, it was intensely awesome.
Brilliant thread, Trooper-guy!
Only 11 more days until Fable 3! :v:
Woah, seriously?
That came out of nowhere. I could have sworn it was coming 2011.
Oh shit, it's that close? I better do another playthrough of Fable II soon, I think I deleted my heroes.
I'm happy Lionhead let's you bring over your hero over to another friend's game
with your dog :allears:
Best thign about fable 1: The flirting.
"Hey"
"Hey"
"Hey"
Accompanied by a 45 degree turn of the torso allowed for maximum wooing

Lucky you, I completed Fable 2 twice, deleted both my characters and sold the game, thinking that I wouldn't need them again.

Yep. 9 days now! I just started a new playthrough yesterday.
i want fable 3 to be darker than fable and fable 2.
I think Fable 2s co-op was pretty fun, i mean its a bit lame that you aren't really there or matter in any way but the combat is fun, reminded me of the lotro games and those were fucking great.
Also happy to see Fable 3 on PC, day 1 buy.
I never really realized how much pre-order/limited edition special items they are including for Fable III, it is somewhat annoying since no one can get everything in their game.
Gamestop - Inquisitor Sword and Industrial Tattoo (This is clearly for Evil characters)
Amazon - Champion's Hammer and Balance Tattoo (This seems to be for Neutral characters)
Walmart - The Absolver and Dragon Breath Tattoo (This is for Good characters)
Seems the pre-order bonuses are split via Stores and Alignment and of course Gamestop makes their's the most known. Luckily Xbox put up an little section for Fable III stuff including the pre-order bonuses for all 3 stores.
Now I wish I pre-ordered from Wal-Mart.
I almost always go good.
Seems like I'm getting the 'Walmart' pack. (Ordered from game.co.uk)
Will be interesting to see how these special weapons will morph. I'm kinda diggin' the look of the dragon tattoo, too.

Yeah I'm pretty sure tattoos can morph as well. I really want all 3 packs, maybe I'll get lucky and find a code for the walmart pack.
Actually I'll probably just be using the limited edition items.

You got LE too?
Limited Edition buddies!
