I miss the old guild seal. The new one looks like an m&m, but the old one looked like god's belt buckle. Why did they change it? :frown:
So this game canonballed pretty hard for me, I went in pretty excited and just forced myself to finish it. I'm returning it to the store as soon as I can, fable's games just keep going downhill to me.
Ending felt so abrupt and quick. Disappointment.
Yet another Fable Sequel, crapped on...
Disappointed again. :saddowns:

Disappointed again. :saddowns:
ironically, the evolution from the industrial society to ours is disappointing to so at least the game is historically accurate.
Really large two handed weapons. Do the trophy cheat until you have 80000 or 8000(I can't remember how much gold is worth in Fable 1) gold, then buy the solus greatsword from the shop in Bowerstone North. That sword cuts through them like butter.
Some stores have them, like the one in Hookcoast, but you usually find them in chests.
Oakvale sells chainmail, if I remember correctly.

That's one thing I liked about Fable 2 was the morality system of having cruelty and ethics. That would have worked great in Fable 3 because you had to make decisions between being cruel and being long-term ethical. Donating your money to the treasury could have just been a way to increase your ethical morality.
Thanks for the trophy cheat. Might try it later.
As for augmentations, I suppose I'll have to wait until I unlock hook coast.
Oakvale didn't have any chainmail the last time I went there.
What pisses me off is the Ruler of Albion part isn't in depth enough. Say you [sp]make the choice of building a school, instead of child labour[/sp] it should make everyone in bowerstone smarter or atleast give you a popup after saying everyone is or something. Needs more consequences of the actions you choose.
You do notice a difference if you [sp]remove the drinking laws[/sp], there are a lot more [sp]drunkards[/sp] on your travels.
You don't get the Aurora clothes until you open the chest in the Hunter's Lodge, which you unlock after you finish Brightwall. You get the free DLC weapons as you unlock your hero weapons. You get Wolfsbane from a quest in Silverpines, however the quest isn't unlocked until you reach Bowerstone.
Ah, right, you get the Aurora clothes and the potion to change your dog to a Boxer from The Hunters Lodge, my bad. Thanks for the help. :buddy:
Don't know if anyone else has found it, but I just discovered a portal reference. There's a guy in a cell bowing down to this crate with a heart on it, and on a table nearby is a cake with a note next to it. It's in the Hideout in Bowerstone market if anyone's interested.

Yeah, people have found it.
Seems like everyone's got differing downloadable content than me, so I can't join people's games.
What's the code that comes with the game do anyway? I think that's what I'm missing, but all it says is "Bonus Content" and I keep forgetting to redeem it.
Just got into Bowerstone, and I hate that my pistol looks like a freaking Blunderbuss and my sword is now a Scimitar after upgrading them.
Is there anyway to CHOOSE what expression you use?
I hate constantly dancing with other men to make friends..
And what happened to 'show your true form at the press of a button'?
They only come out when you do flourishes.. Or am I missing something?
And I miss having a halo/horns.
[editline]7th November 2010[/editline]
I can't join other peoples games, it says my NAT setting is 'Moderate'. Where can I change my NAT settings? I've already been to system settings, but I can't seem to find anything..
So, tried my 3rd run being completely good and to save for the 6,5M to save everyone. I made a dumbass mistake by buying almost all properties and making all the quests, but progressed in to the story too far so that I only went in to battle with 700k gold in the treasury. :saddowns:
[editline]7th November 2010[/editline]
Not sure I can go with a 4th run after this. There are 3 main parts I really hate, and there's no way to go around it. :v:

That's a router thing.
[sp]So I just became King and spared my brother. How much further in the game do I have to go, and am I really supposed to make 6.1 million (kept tax rate the same) from my properties and jobs? [/sp]
yo how long is the game

Then try the armor vendor at Knothole Glade. I still remember the blacksmith at Oakvale having light chainmail, but I guess I was wrong, but the Knothole Glade armorer sells chainmail and platemail armor.

[sp] No, you also get it from your choices as king. If you want to be a good king, then you are going to have to spend money and deposit your own money to the treasury to get all the funds, if you are bad, you get most of the money from the decisions you make and you keep the money from housing since you don't have to use your own money. [/sp]
I'm sick of bosses summoning a ton of little guys to fight you and the only way of stopping it is by killing the boss and you can't get to the boss because all the little minions are in your way.
i feel like im about to spew heresy but..
I thought the game was terrible, felt really sluggish on the combat, everything felt cheap and easy and dumbed down
And dont get me started on "hold A for 4seconds for EVERYTHING"
oh god yes, the holding a pissed me off.
Especially while talking to someone, "A to chat." I try to hold it but you only press it. Next one, "A to dance." I press it, thinking I'm smart, "Good, but holding it down would even further your relationship." Damn. It.
I think I liked the Fable 2 expression system the best. I also think that magic and hammers are way OP in Fable 3; I can kill an army of anything just by holding down B.
Fable 3 doesn't sound very worth my money. Can I still buy an old copy of Fable 1 and it'll work?

There'll be some wierd graphics glitches in TLC (including an AWESOME one where your hair turns into leaves) but everyting will work fine.* And don't Hero Save, it'll fuck up your save if you do it too much.**
*If you play on the 360.
**This is a problem in all versions.
I'll probably end up selling this... A shame, really :\
I wish there were more "wild" areas. In Fable to go from Bowerstone to Oakvale you had to go through Lookout Point, Greatwood, Greatwood Lake, Greatwood Gorge, Greatwood Cullis Gate, Greatwood Caves, Darkwood, Darkwood Marsh, Darkwood Lake, Darkwood Camp, Ancient Cullis Gate, Darkwood Wier and Barrowfields. Thats 13 areas to travel between 2 towns. Fable 3 has 14 areas TOTAL. When I think "expanding the world" I think the same areas but bigger not half the areas merged together or removed.
I hope the micro-transaction shit they're doing in Fable 3 adds new areas.

I fucking HATE the Sanctuary map. It doesn't even get the shape of Albion right FFS.
Seems like there is hatred here. I have a question, how are the loading screens here? Are they worse than Fable 2?
Yeah... I'm also kind of pissed because the map in fable KEEPS CHANGING. I mean, seriously, what the fuck? That just reeks of laziness. Can't even bother to stick with the same god damn map.
The thing that ruined the game for me was just how quickly we came to [sp]the final battle with the darkness, I mean you have what 4 or 5 lists to compleat then it all kicks off. It should have been longer plus I would have liked it if that was like the real final challange[/sp] whilst in the mean time we'd have to keep up the faith with the people, put down any uprisings matain good links with your allies. You know sort of like what Kings/Queens do...
The other thing is the lack of character morphing like in the past games, sure its a welcome change not to turn into the increadable hulk after upgrading my health but it would have been nice if it was a little more visual.
Apart from that I really enjoyed it.
