The Guild was created by Scythe long after the Old Kingdom fell.
Yeah, there was no Guild during the Court's reign, and that's part of the reason why I like William Black so much.
He had no mentor, or any allies or heroes who could help him fight against the Court, because he was the first one of his kind.
He prevailed against impossible odds alone and he created Will by himself for god's sake.
Played first game as ONLY magic totally good character. What should next one be? Male or female, definitely want to be evil. Should I use swords or guns?

I played my first game with a magic character too.
My second playthrough was with melee and ranged weapons. I wanted to see what the full weapon morphs looked like.
To clarify I do mean playthrough, but I like magic. Just way over powered. Just charge up any area spell and its fully charged by the time enemies get to you.
Should I make a good female character, an evil male character, or an evil female character?
Usually, when I make a character that is female, she is evil(KOTOR dark side because of that whiner, Fallout 3 blew up Megaton and nearly poisoned something, Fable 2 killing everything and taking the money, and Renegade Mass Effect with [sp]the original council dead[/sp]).
My main good character is a female, and the evil character is a male.
Just because the bald head and barbarian look I had in mind fits much better for a male character.
Everyone has their own tastes though.
I have a good poor character, and a formerly good, murderous, rich character. I would make a new playthrough but I really don't want to go through the game again, just after the final battle.
Speaking of not starting a new game, I started a new game as a princess and I'm gonna basically be a dick through the whole thing. When that dude asks you for your signature to do something about poverty, I clicked 'insult.' What the hell just happened? She pushes the poor bastard down, takes the clipboard, and rubs it on her ass. A simple 'no' would've sufficed, methinks.

So about the part about poverty, being evil is basically being, an asshole.

Pretty much, can't wait till I get stuck in the book and probably fuck it up.
Fable 3 was a huge disappointment. It felt like it had less features than Fable 1.

I can see why you'd think that. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting either, but it's still a good game.
I hate the morality system, Lionhead don't seem to realise there's a difference between good and nice or evil and mean. I mean you can be the biggest dick in the world mocking little kids and insulting women, but if you go out of you way to help people you're still good you're just not nice.
picked up fable 2 the other day. not sure why this got a bad rap after the first one. Seems a bit slower paced. So far the only gripe i have is that i can't move or atack while collecting xp orbs.

In other words, you are an asshole hero.
I beat it with every promise kept and everyone living(and didn't get knocked down). They were right, the final boss was easy.
They should allow you to buy/steal the [sp]Sand Fury clothing or set.[/sp] Also, the next final boss should be fucking powerful(it may not since the next game may take place in the future again). Need help suggesting a boss, how about the return of the Queen of Blades(worse and more powerful than the other 3 final bosses combined).
In other words, you are an asshole hero.
Pretty much, like when you're a Renegade in Mass Effect, you're an asshole who may or may not be insane and spend most of your time screwing other people over for your own gain, but you're still the good guy because you're on a mission to save the freaking galaxy.
I wanna be evil, but I feel like such an asshole when I do, like I almost can't stand it. Although the Saker 'execution' is pretty cool. Also, anyone want a couple million money things? I did the money glitch and got a little too much. In other words, 27,000,000 or so. Anyone want some?
I wouldn't mind some gold to be honest.

Woo, 2000 posts by the way! :buddy:

Renegade choices in ME2 are fucking awesome by the way.
At times I remember just shaking my head and laughing my ass off at the same time thinking "how can he be such a douchebag?". Comedy gold.
Agreed, the "You're working too hard, You talk too much, and the reporter punch are funny as hell."
About the gold, wish I could accept it on a new save(gonna save Elise) after the female hero save(good most likely), but no XBL Gold.
Like I said on my last post, [sp]Sand fury[/sp], evil being more of an asshole instead of actually evil, and Queen of Blades being a final boss.
I think sooner or later, you can get the [sp]Sand Fury clothing set by DLC, and it will cost money as usual.[/sp]
Right now, most times, being evil in Fable is just being an asshole hero. The only evil ending was [sp]Killing Theresa with the sword, and she is still alive in 2 and 3, while the sword was used against the final boss in Lost Chapters(canonical).[/sp]
TLC had you [sp]putting on the mask[/sp], and that's it, you can go on a killing spree, but nothing that can cause you to have unlimited power. Fable 2 had the wealth option and picking that is just being an asshole(you can get money easily). And of course, Fable 3 has the whole evil but saving everyone.
KOTOR had 2 endings, one which was good([sp]everyone lived, maybe not, had that lesbian girl), and evil([sp]the order is fucked, republic is fucked, you became the new leader of an evil empire, you have a superweapon on your hands[/sp]). Fallout 3 also had a good([sp]purifier activated, Megaton is maybe safe, not poisoned, Enclave base destroyed in DLC[/sp]) and an evil([sp]purifier destroyed/poisoned, Megaton was blown up, the Citadel is destroyed by the Lone Wanderer[/sp] ending.
Fable only has good([sp]not using the sword and mask thrown, sacrifice, saving everyone with promises kept[/sp]), neutral([sp]hard to say, kill Theresa but throw mask in lava or save Theresa/wear mask, picking Family, losing civilians or breaking a few promises to save many lives[/sp]) , and asshole([sp]okay, Kill and wear ending was evil, picking money, and saving all while breaking every promise or killing everyone and keeping the money to yourself in 3[/sp]) endings. Now, I played all 3, not TLC though, I liked the series, but overall, Evil=asshole hero, not actually evil.
And finally, if we do fight her(either Theresa or QoB), it should be either the 2nd final boss of the series, or the last boss of the whole series. Theresa has lived a long time, and yes, she manipulated everyone, but she did it with a good reason(or not). She could go crazy over that power. The Queen of Blades, she is the most powerful bitch that lived(before a certain someone that challenged her, and Theresa), and that fight she had took weeks. There could be a way to fight both at the same time(Theresa gets possessed by QoB), and that fight would be epic. If there is going to be an evil ending, maybe have another hero(as powerful as her) come by and about to attack if you give the order. You can either let the other hero kill her and save everyone(good, you can kill her as well), kill her but have catastrophic causalities(neutral, depending on the choices you made during your playthrough), attack and kill the other hero and be her 2nd in command(evil), or take her power and kill both the hero and QoB(very evil).
[sp]By the way, just have everyone die and keep all of the money to yourself, and steal from the treasury while breaking promises. That is the easiest way to be evil.[/sp]
Theresa is kind of an undead/angel/demon/supernatural figure.
Still, it seems like the series is only getting shittier by each game. Besides, [sp]Why couldn't that fucking thing possess you instead? You are way more powerful, younger, and going to soon be the leader of a place, why not possess him/her instead and take over when they become the leader?[/sp]
I don't get the mercenary part if you're a girl. It makes you wear the goatee and the only difference that they notice between you and some dude is the eye color. I mean, don't mind the hair hanging in front of her face or the goddamn ponytail. If I were her, I'd be offended.

Just shows that the females aren't good at being females if they don't see the difference! :v:

Or that mercenaries are fucking stupid.

It just felt like they changed/removed things that were perfectly fine from the previous Fables.
Probably the wrong place to ask. But should I get this or Black Ops??
Probably the wrong place to ask. But should I get this or Black Ops??
I generally hate questions like these, because first of all, not only Fable and Black Ops are two completely different games, but secondly, we do not know anything about whatkind of games you personally like. For example, if you were more into RPG's, it would be very easy to recommend Fable for you, but again, these games are very different.
If you're interested in both games, the best bet is to just get both, but if you're short on cash, just go with the one you're personally more drawn into.
Nobody can tell which game you're gonna like better except yourself.
