hold on a sec, has ANYONE actually complimented fable 3 for things like its amazing combat or the brilliant humour involved in it. :)
Humor is alright, but the combat isn't. It made it even easier.

Anyone have any idea when Fable 3 is coming out for the PC? I can't find a release date anywhere, the few I have found said Dec. 12, and it obviously was not released today.
Just started playing The Lost Chapters on PC again. This is what I love about the whole Fable series. Since the formula is different for each Fable game, you can play the previous games as much as the new ones. Fable 2 does not surpass Fable 1, and Fable 3 does not surpass Fable 2 and 1. They still feel like 3 distinctly different games.
I noticed that, but I hate the whole warning thing that sounds when your health is low. [sp]anyone have a spare LE code, or do they separate the LE edition by making a different disc for LE Fable 3?[/sp]
Well, new DLC. One is 3 more dog breeds(HORSE ARMOR v2), and a free yule hat for christmas(its actually free, for now).
So, have they abandoned the PC version? Haven't heard anything in a while.
I got this game yesterday! Its pretty good.
If i buy Fable 2 Pre-owned for X360, there won't be any locked content or anything will there? I know some games punish you for buying pre-owned.

Your game will be unaffected from your late aquisition of the second complete entry into the Fable series. [editline]24th December 2010[/editline] I might get Fable 3 tomorrow. Merry christmas!
I might get Fable 3 tomorrow. Merry christmas!
I recommend it. It's actually pretty good.
No, its Fable 3 that discriminates against the poor. Day 1 DLC, selling dog breeds. Thats like Horse Armor, wait, Oblivion is huge and can maybe protect your horse, dog breeds are for you almost worthless dog. What has it done besides bark a million times, and go around in circles trying to get me to dig somewhere?

But the DLC that you get for "free" if you buy the game new isn't really worth anything anyway. And what about that 'dye pack' - obvious omission from the vanilla game, re-released as DLC because Lionhead are theiving scum who know you like the colour black.
I got to ask, in Fable:TLC, do scars heal?
Wait what? Fable 3 is out?
Got this game today. I had played only Fable 1 in the past (and enjoyed it thoroughly) and was unsure if I would enjoy it. Had a little play with it today and it looks immense. One question though: Is there anything that I have missed in the story of fable 2 that I might need to know?
God damnit when will Fable 3 be released for PC? :saddowns: [editline]6th January 2011[/editline]
Got this game today.
Well Fable 3 is kinda based of Fable 2, but I don't think there is that much to know really.
The thing I am out the know about is the characters father who I assume is the main character in fable 2. Does that mean the character in Fable 1 is the main characters grandfather in fable 3 or am I way off?
Yeah, Fable 2 really had nothing to do with Fable 1.
Ah, Okay.
Fable 1 was about 500 years before 2.
Fable 1 was about 500 years before 2.
No, 200 years before I believe it was. [editline]6th January 2011[/editline] Such a shame because when they completely changed theme and setting in Fable 2 that kinda ruined alot for me. Fable 1 was so awesome. [editline]6th January 2011[/editline] It's just not as magical anymore. Fable 1 was set in the dark times of the folklores.

It was 500 years after all. :P Also, I agree with you that it kind of lost some of it's magic after the change of time. It doesn't feel the same anymore.
Well, it's too mordern, too much science. We knew so little of the world at like the 1200's, now Fable 2 is set during the 1700's and hell, that's like the least interesting time period for any game like this. 1800's would have been slightly better because of the exploration and colonization and archeology and stuff. Still sucks.
Wow I forgot about this thread. I ended up being incredibly disappointed with Fable 3, to the point where I played it once when I first got it, then just never came back to it. -and I'm not saying I didn't give it a chance, that one sitting was about 10 hours long. It just didn't feel like a Fable game to me. One of my favorite features of the Fable franchise was morphing according to your actions and this feature, along with every other feature, was dumbed-down so much in Fable 3 to the point of being absurd. Combat some how felt worse than in Fable 2. I found myself constantly stuck in clunky combat animations. I liked the variety of spells, but not the gauntlet system. On top of everything else, the game is still just as easy, if not more so, than Fable 2. I was not killed/knocked-out once. Honestly, they promised that the game would be smooth and stream-lined, while remaining challenging. How the developers thought this game would have any depth or challenge to it is beyond me. All in all, I ended up only really enjoying one quest in the game, and that was a completely obscure side-quest. You find a small village and promise to kill some local balvarines. Upon further exploration, you find that you can instead side with the balverines and kill the villagers. Something about the small area that this quest takes place in, and the quest itself, greatly reminded me of the first Fable and the types of quests you did in that game. To wrap this up, I'll just say that unless they somehow manage to return to what Fable 1 had, the Fable series will be one that continues to spiral downward. -In my eyes at least.
It's almost tragic to say this since I've been a fan since I probably about 9, when Fable 1 came out, and Fable 2 is among my favourite games, to this day Fable 2 remains one of the few games to execute DLC well in my opinion. But to be blunt, I fucking hate Fable 3. It's not even the same game anymore, what the fuck is with the ending!? The ending for the last two were so immense then this one has a fight in which you don't even physically kill the actual enemy[sp]AND THEN WALTER DIES AND THEREFORE SO DOES THE THING YOU WERE HOPING TO EPIC BATTLE WITH[/sp] so much more could be done with it. The storyline should have had you slowly progress through zones, rather than blitzkrieg to Bowerstone, half of which now looks attrocious by the way...I mean Silverpines, really an entire zone complete with houses and shops but the only usage it gets is the one quest I got from LCE, oh and when you have to find that on guy for the Driftwood establishment chain,(which I thought was an ingenius idea till I realised the town was established after 3 short quests which isn't very dynamic if you ask me...) the fact that even constitutes as a quest is insulting, I want obscene amounts of quests like in TLC and Fable 2 all of which are varied and fulfilling to complete, with genuinely intelligent humour like in the first. All of this coupled with the fact that they were making people pay extra in order to get Day 1 DLC, content that was already in the game and stupid fucking outfits that no one in their right mind would possibly pay for (HURR DURR DOG SUITE OLOL) it's fucking depressing to see even Lionhead are going for the cashcow option, considering at one point they seemed like the last bastion of hope for small studios. I pray that when they release Fable 4, which they ineveitably in hopes of redeeming themselves, or more likely because of the sales, that they FUCKING DO IT RIGHT. Less Action, more RPG. [/rant]
Do it right? That is when hell freezes over, I will see the reports of how Fable 4 is. If its too modern, worse than 3, has an even more useless dog, there is no final boss/its just some random person, and there is Day 1 DLC or Day 0 DLC, no more Fable series games. You can also blame MS, they want to hurry Fable 3 up so it can be released to combat the PS3, and for Kinect. It did not have Kinect support, and look at the result. Hell, I am trying to beat it 100%, but I can't now, because I found the 2 treasure chests that give the SAME FUCKING WEAPON AFTER I RESTARTED. Will they fix it, no, they will fuck it up in a whole lot of ways.
Sorry, but Fable 3 was a great game. Way better than Fable 2
