just gave it a try, and from a quick glance it seems pretty cool! in regards with the options menu, I'd love to see numbers for the sliders, especially the FOV one. the tick boxes didn't feel very natural to me and personally I'd rather have empty boxes when something is off, then a tick or X in it when on. might be a little nitpicky, but that's how I feel about it at least. I didn't really get to play much as the controls felt incredibly weird on a QWERTY keyboard, which made me have to orient my fingers awkwardly to have each finger positioned correctly on the move keys. would be great if there was a default preset for QWERTY keyboards too, and especially adding the ability to configure the movement keys!

And we'll be adding the numbers on the sliders, no worries (: the checkbox styles will also be updated in awhile. Thanks for the feedback man!

I'll have to give it another good look, in that case
Making flying machines is hard without propellers or jet engines, I've only gotten enough orbs to unlock 6 glider wings at the moment and I can't really make anything light enough to fly with only 6 little wings. :v:
felt much better once the movement keys were rebound! I couldn't help but feel that the mouse sensitivity was different when looking side to side than when looking up and down. made camera controls feel kind of awkward. the editor felt kind of awkward to begin with as well as it felt different than what I am used to. it felt weird having to click somewhere, then click on the base to attach. personally I'd prefer drag-and-drop as I feel it feels a lot more fluid. it also proved to be kind of inconvenient as I was trying to reach the attaching point of one of the engines, but it was covered by the ground so I couldn't reach it unless I bumped it until it fell on its side. :v: would be cool to see all the buttons labeled as well in the editor as I would have had no clue what was what unless the tutorial was there to tell me. I'm sure that's something you guys are aware of though! acceleration of the vehicles felt kind of weird at times. there was a point where I tried to drive back up to the dome, and I somehow flipped the vehicle on my way back up. spawned another one, but I wasn't able to accelerate anymore when in the hill, and suddenly it begun accelerating backwards so I ended up driving quite the distance before the car stopped. would probably have helped if I used the breaks, which didn't work for some reason or at least I didn't notice them. might be because I bound space to both the handbrake and the brake? would be cool to see free looking being added while driving! it felt really weird being constrained to only looking forwards while driving around. other than all that, I imagine this'd be a fun game. it reminds me of Kerbal Space Program, just not in space
Weird, they're exactly the same speed. I'm sure that's something you guys are aware of though!
If you hover over a button it shows you what it's called. We didn't want to add labels since it would be a waste of space as you can just hover over it and after awhile know which button is which
acceleration of the vehicles felt kind of weird at times. there was a point where I tried to drive back up to the dome, and I somehow flipped the vehicle on my way back up.
This happens when you encounter a lagspike, the acceleration goes from 0-eventual amount in a lag spike since it wasn't able to calculate it fully, just lower your settings a bit and it shouldn't happen (if you turn down the shadows just a bit it runs a LOT smoother)
would probably have helped if I used the breaks, which didn't work for some reason or at least I didn't notice them. might be because I bound space to both the handbrake and the brake?
It's probably the wheel brake amount, you can increase it if you press on the wheel in the editor, if you multiply the amount by 10 it'll break very fast, as for the keybinding. The handbreak handles the physics differently, allows you to drift more easily, so I suggest changing the keys or just use one of the breaks (try them out, you can always switch them around abit)
would be cool to see free looking being added while driving! it felt really weird being constrained to only looking forwards while driving around. other than all that, I imagine this'd be a fun game. it reminds me of Kerbal Space Program, just not in space
You actually have that option, just select the seat in the editor and check around the settings, there's a free looking checkbox there.
Updated with F.A.Q. on first post UPDATE: The new demo is released! It sure took longer then expected to get rid of all the kinks, but you should no longer have to run it as admin, key bindings is optimized for Qwerty and a 360 controller. Enjoy you guys (:
After the tutorial in the new demo, it says that I can get access to all of the parts by visiting the website, but after registering, I don't see any way to access the pre-alpha. I know that the game is probably not up for pre-ordering yet, but still with that text I feel like I might be missing something somewhere.

Oh, controller support, great! I was having trouble connecting my DS3, i'll give it another try. Good to see the download speed has improved a lot, went from 1 hour for the last demo to about 5 minutes for this one.

Controller support was already included; but we made the standard layout now be the x360 controller layout, since more people use that. And yeah, the first demo we really had to make due with the situation we were in. This time we were able to upload it to my dedicated server, glad to hear the speeds are good :D
UPDATE: The pre-ordering will be taking a bit longer then expected.. We can't do this without being a full company, so we have to get all that stuff working first, we'll most likely start a kickstarter while we're working on the company. So you should be able to pre-order it from there once it's online! I'll be sure to let everyone know when and where the kickstarter is starting, Thanks everyone so-far for the great support and feedback!~
It's taken me ages to get enough free time to have another go with this, but it's finally time to try again and see if I can make a plane this time. :D
Oh, not sure if I mentioned this on fp yet. To the first person that tweets me (@igniuss) a plane that actually flies decently and is maneuverable will get free alpha access the moment it comes out. Ps; we'll be testing out the multiplayer locally for the next week, so expect some interesting new information on this thread and the site!
Well hey, even more motivation to try. It's so difficult though!
Define "decently" and define "manoeuvrable".
Remember the tower with the ring in the middle? You should be able to fly through two towers, twice. So just 2 "laps" of flying through the circles (: shouldn't be too difficult right?
Oh wow, I only just noticed this. [t]http://i.imgur.com/qorGi9k.png[/t] Thank you! :D

Here's hoping I can get to the rocket motor in due time! :D I'm just collecting orbs at the moment, and as a distraction I did a bit of climbing and got on top of the dam and then behind it. On top of the rocks next to the dam. [t]http://i.imgur.com/nKu7eLj.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/U5VaBg3.jpg[/t] On top of the dam. For whom it may concern, the first Multiplayer test was sort-off successful, only players for now, but give us a week, it'll work (;
Do you have a working glider with just demo parts? I don't know if I'm going about it completely wrong but it seems almost impossible to get something moving fast enough that it can achieve lift with those tiny little glider wings, and since it's almost impossible to get red orbs without a flying machine I can't unlock the rocket engine without a lot of grinding. I'm gonna keep going, but any help would be greatly appreciated. :D

And was able to fly through 2 tower-rings.. So I know it's possible (: And a working glider with the demo parts.. It is extremely difficult, That I admit. But it's not Impossible ♥
Are the cars supposed to be literally impossible to drive, or is that just me? Also, can you put in some way to get back to the dome quickly? If your car doesn't work and you get stuck really far away, you're just fucked

A button to get back quickly would be nice. [editline]16th May 2014[/editline]
I can safely say someone already unlocked the rocket engine in the demo. And was able to fly it.
