Wow, what Jagex did to this game is sad. The game literately sold itself out. And this is coming from a youngling that played this game during the more later updates, oblivious to how the game was during its early stages.
Apparently [URL="http://www.buildandshoot.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=60"]this[/URL] is the open source remake of Ace of Spades called Iceball. Haven't tried it yet but it looks interesting albeit rough, but still definitely better than this dump of a game Jagex tried to release in Ace of Spade's name.

Part of the old Aos' charm was that it could damn near literally run on your grandma's computer, now, I'm not saying they're high, but jeeze, I don't see how this requires the kind of GPU that we played Crysis on high with.

because it's not on the stone-age voxel engine that the original ace of spades was on.
just take a look at the footage/gameplay pictures. the game is completely rebirthed on to something new because the lead developer ceased developing it and someone else took over and slapped the name/logo on top of a new game and called it a day
Ace of Spades doesn't need miniguns, jetpacks, sniper rifles or sub-machine guns.
I liked it better when everyone was a basic WW2 era soldier armed with a bolt-action rifle.
It would've been nice just to have some new additions like mortars, airplanes, tanks, motorcycles, landmines, mountable machine guns, different variety of rifles and submachine guns, have the SMG and shotguns not suck, player customization, fully moddable experience, better animations and slightly better graphics.
I don't want Call of Battlefield Fortress 2.
