The reason why I stopped playing spore was not that I got bored of it (in fact I never completed the space age) but becouse I had to reinstall my PC a few times and the DRM was a real dick

Can't you only install this game a certain number of times or something?
The DRM is a pain in the ass, and the game's not really supported anymore. And the expansions/patches all have to be done in a specific order. And like hell if I remember my Spore account.
cant you email them asking to reset or give activation counts? dont know if they do that anymore but i remember you could
about a year ago too i emailed them with my product key, asking what email was tied to it because i forgot which one was, and they just told me

iirc you can also find out on origin, I remember there was some name change thing that Maxis did or something for your username so I will always have (>^_^)> as my spore username
Yeah, spore was a pain with its patches/expansions.
Origin has nice support people. I asked them if it was still linked to my account, guy said yes, i now have spore on my account. On the rare occasion that i do play it, I screw around with the Adventure Editor
