One thing I'm not quite sure of: is the reason that nobody can understand the shit people say in EYE because it's just cryptic to begin with or because its horribly translated or both?

Both. But in my opinion, it just makes the atmosphere deeper. Futurespeak and sucheth.

Both.
Bullshit! Ultra-failed attack! You killed a loving father.
Your legs are ok, you gain brouzouf
[editline]j[/editline]
I still have no idea what failed attacks mean as I'll get one of those prompts literally after blowing someone's head off. I don't even know how to even explain the "loving father" thing other than it's a thing you'll see after killing some enemies randomly, they can be officers or exhibitionists or something. Who knows.
To be honest, it's pretty obvious that the achievement things are random - probably a percentage thing: You are likely to kill a sergeant than a mutant.
As for failed attacks, I assume that that is just a damage multiplier based on your luck stats or w/e. Halves your damage or something (not like it changes the fate of that one bandit you just cut up).
I keep wanting to get this game during the Steam sales but I keep just missing it
Add me, you can have a spare copy of it that I have for some reason
A fun thing I like to do is go back into the game and do one of the area missions with only 1 gun and see how long I can go until I die.

Also the BK is capable of ending a helicopter in 4 shots on regular difficulty, heavy weapons are a fool's choice (except the explosives if you're trying to be a dick and TK people.)

The story is cryptic at best and requires several playthroughs to even get a vague idea of the story, probably about half the characters you talk to are power-mad jackasses or stoned looters, and the translations can be very wonky - thought it seems to mostly effect objectives and random dialogue, as the fan-patch to fix the hilarious translations doesn't change plot dialogue except for some weird grammar issues.

I read almost none of the dialogue and still got the ending when it happened, that being said I've only gone through 2 of them.

At least your character has good dialogue.

The best part of the game is the way things react when you kill them. I love just hitting the rats and stuff with my sword just to see them go flying.
what the fuck am I doing, the game
suddenly achievements, the game
what the fuck am I doing, the game
where the fuck am i supposed to go, the game
I remember playing the demo to this and just running around murdering shit in the streets constantly. I got a ridiculous amount of money from doing this, but I didn't know what to do with it. I really should pick it up, aside from the cyberpunk setting I I genuinely enjoyed the gameplay.
had this game for months, its amazing that people are now playing it due to the sale!
had this game for months, its amazing that people are now playing it due to the sale!
that's kind of how the game is
little underground source mod
people hear odd things about it, but always are told to get it especially when on sale
people buy on sale for dirt cheap, everyone raves on it and the cycle starts again
yo, if anyone wants to do some money runs (10k even for a failed one, a lot more if you complete it) just pm me your steam name

900~ per kill

I got it way back in 2011 but never really played it.
I was playing on my save with a couple friends , [sp]we killed the mentor looking for the artifact then went to some dojo thing and killed everyone inside[/sp] then when we got back to the homeworld and there was a werewolf outside and when i finished talking to him the game just went back to the start and we have to start over. WTF happened
I'll redownload this one when i finish Bioshock Infinite.
the noise the feds make when they can't find you is hilarious
I got it way back in 2011 but never really played it.
The farthest I got was the first mission after the hub world. I was really turned off by how much it felt I was just in a death match against some bots.
i've had this game for awhile and put about 25 hours into it. it's fucking nuts and i absolutely love it.
Pistols, smgs, and shotguns are all pretty flaky. IIRC there's one weapon for each of those categories that vastly outshines the rest of them
The Rotten Mound, GCTG 222, and Betty Boom are relatively weak weapons. The RM is basically just a semi-auto KA93, though it's far more accurate. The 222 does twice as much damage as the Black Crow but has just under half the magazine capacity. The BK13 is kinda crap due to how the ammo works but it can be paired with a Damocles and that makes it awesome.
The SMGs aren't as effective as rifles but a ton of fun. The HS010 is absolutely hilarious because it can fire at three thousand RPM in the secondary fire mode, which can be paired with the Targeting System to have perfect accuracy.
The Motra is kinda eh, it's basically a silenced KA93.
there's a pistol that'll do damage rivaling a heavy sniper rifle.
The 444 Bear Killer, aka the revolver that can take down an assault helicopter in two blasts.
upto now I've either just run around with the first assault rifle or I've grabbed heavy armour, the minigun and as much ammo as I could carry and just serious sam'd the shit out of everything
by the way, might want to install a language fix because some of the original translations are bad
game was made by like 12 frenchies
I still couldn't understand the story of this game.
Fun game, though.
My typical loadout for weapons is the S6000, the Black Crow, and the Betty Boom. Seriously, the Betty Boom is so much fun. If I need take out heavier targets, I grab the 444 and the large anti material rifle I can't remember the name of.
we all know the minigun is the best gun
I'm up to noctis labyrinthian and that fucking helicopter is getting severely on my nerves
So is hacking
