i play with the AI maxed while on ghost
its surprisingly bullshit yet fun in a fucked up way

I do this, except I also put their accuracy to the lowest, but only really because I try to play as a fast melee fighter.
reinstalling this
wondering if my character got wiped
I remember farming exp on Mars by shooting down attack choppers with the heavy sniper (it gave you an extreme amount of exp surprlus per kill) , is that still a thing?

Just use the 444, its probably the best weapon in the whole game.

only when fighting singular strong enemies at medium to small distances tho
it only has 4 shots after all, and no scope

I mainly use it on Mars or if im dealing with a particularly tough enemy towards the end of the game.
Its really the only one that matters, if your dealing with masters. Your PSI Powers are nice to use in combination too.
Otherwise, i stick with the Assault Rifles.
I knew that the higher PSI stat you have, the larger objects you can carry.
But I never imagined that it could get to this point.

Holy shit
I just noticed this thread and saw the game was on sale so I bought a 4 pack, solely because the title has cybermancy in it. I'm ready for whatever this game is.
Going to soon play this with a mate who hasn't played it before, but before that I have questions: who controls the story? Can only the host talk to NPCs and respond to them? If one person is in a conversation, do the other players also see it? Does the story progress for both the players files (if Person A is hosting a game for Person B and they both complete a story mission and Person B then plays singleplayer, does the game pick off from after that mission?)

When you start a multiplayer game, in the dream area, there's a guy called Reno. If you talk to him, he asks if you are the master of fate. If you answer yes to that, you become in control of the story, all progress is saved to you only, and only he can talk to plot important NPCs. And no, nobody else sees the conversation.
This game needs a lot more small mods and skins for it, I'd love that.
Yeah, I'm surprised people didn't mod it more, since it seems to be pretty standard Source engine as far as games go.
Anyone up for some coop on a public server?

How much PSI do you need to do that? Mine is 48 on my main and I can still only lift small stuff.
How much PSI do you need to do that? Mine is 48 on my main and I can still only lift small stuff.
I'm afraid that's not nearly enough, it needs to be obscenely high.
After a bit of experimentation, I can conclude that the exact threshold to lift that giant van is somewhere between 75-80 PSI.
Is anyone interested in playing this game in coop? PM me.

The interface needs a major facelift, it's so fucking ugly.

Defense is hard.
After having recently bought and played this game, I can't say I give a single fuck for the story, the fact that it's letting me using a Minigun and Heavy Armour makes this game awesome.
I used that mods that overhauls the text posted earlier and i'm enjoying the game so much more now that I can understand it all.
Also, I missed when throwing a grenade and this happened.

I love how silly the gibs are.
But getting rid of the silly messages takes part of the fun out of it. It no longer says things like "My legs are OK!" any more. That's boring.

Something about seeing that "Bullshit! Ultra-failed attack" is funny to me. Especially when your shot sent him flying.

It also falls in line with what Dutch and some of the others say. Where your character is talking to themselves all the time and it's starting to worry some of the others. [sp]Honestly, the entire motif of severe head trauma causing hallucinations and such covers up any plot holes or other issues due to bugs or the actual writing.[/sp]

I understood the story line after it has been explained to me, but I still don't know how did they come to that conclusion. What hints are there in-game ?

Much of it is just making assumptions that certain things are connected when the evidence for it is tenuous at best.

the information archive in the temple i presume
Is there any reason not to use a minigun, because casually walking down the street having everything turned to mulch whilst rounds bounce off you sounds like a win all strategy to me.
really wish there were more servers though, seems all the ones I find are all private and or 200 ping
So my friend thought it would be a grand idea to inject Dutch with a medkit during that one mission where you have to go to some facility with the turrets.
Needless to say, Dutch got pissed.

Well, it slows you down considerably, and there's very few other weapons you can carry along with it. Other than that there's no real reason not to, no.

Mowing down everything with a gun (especially the minigun) is the most viable build in the game. One of the major problems with E.Y.E is that anything other than that is underpowered and you're just doing yourself a disservice. If you want to be a cyber ninja then you'll really need to invest in some levels and if you want to be a hacker then that'll just be tedious as fuck.
I used to use my clones to go and clear levels and they did a good job up until the level after you get the cyberbrain. Now they're retarded and underpowered. And fuck me the hacking is tedious. I can't believe I managed to hack every combat turret in the first mission you encounter them
[editline]24th July 2014[/editline]
My eyes hurt because I did the level all in one go, I didn't want to have to rehack them
