Venge carry isn´t as bad as you think is.
Mostly just to confuse the enemy team.

Go beep or go home
if i wanted to "main" a hero whos more or less viable for every match regardless of the enemies composition
is effective during early mid and late stages of the game
and is effective in teamfights
would doom be a good choice? cause i know you can place in every role from initiator, support, and carry and he counters every hero ingame with his ult

Doom, Viper, Axe. Maybe even heroes like Sand King, Tidehunter.
Bristle might also fit you, but his ult is a passive.

Silencer. Go 0-4-4 into ult & stats, last word and ult are generally all you'll really need in terms of early game aggression. The trick is you have to tp around the map whenever there's a kill opportunity, as you're going to need all the intel you can get. You can also play aggressive in lane by manually casting your orb, which doesn't grant you creep aggro.
With max last word, treads and at least 16 intel stolen silencer can safely jungle (you should buy wards to make sure you don't get ganked while doing that) in case there's not much going on in terms of kills around the map (I would still highly advise carrying a TP, but then again everybody should).
From there you go into either refresher or mjollnir, then the other, then blademail drums bkb or some shit. The trick is that the longer the game goes on and the more assists/kills you get, the less your enemies can cast the more damage your autoattacks do, especially if they don't have bkb.
If you don't have ~10 intel stolen by 20 minutes just go mek/force and start getting points in your CotS, and make the transition later. Mid game silencer is tedious as fuck as your right clicks don't actually accomplish that much especially by the time Bkbs start coming out.

this is so terrible
Q is actually pretty useful especially against heroes without easy ways to dispel it

LOL
I don't know curse of the silent is just kind of a bad skill overall, it offers nothing past the 15 minute mark. Last words gives so much more, and by the time you maxed last words (Which you should do, as it gives far more reliable damage and burst) curse of the silent has already fallen off pretty fucking hard (Especially if you're playing support silencer and you're not leeching xp)

Viper, he's a carry and is decently tanky I suppose. His poison slows enemies on his primary attack and his ult slows them extremely.
Viper is also not wraith king.

Viper
The only way for you to die or not kill the opposite players in your lane, is if they are hugging their tower or if they gank you a lot.
Otherwise, the gigantic slow and nethertoxin will RAPE everything in sight.
Still remember some rubick losing all hope right after I ultied him with a lv3 viper strike. He almost didn't move.
Riki isn't bad either, but easily countered. But you could always get a gem to weed out the sentry wards, and a diffusal if someone dusts or tracks you, and most important of all, pick your targets and know when to engage in a teamfight.
