I really hate the way wurm is run by the devs especially rolf. They are changing core mechanics like traders and deed forms with just a day left until release and they are withholding information.

Epic has a lot of pvp on the main island and a little in the lesser two, but it's really easy to avoid in the home servers. Epic Serenity or Desertion is quite fun, and I know a few guys I can hook you up with who live in those places if you need a place to stay.

So apparently the new PvE island is being made? I know I'm probably late but it releases tomorrow. Who's going?

once the new server is implemented theres going to be a better tutorial and the option to skip it (thank fuck only took 8 years)

I've been working as an intern at their office in Sweden for a couple weeks now and today you could feel that all the devs up there was excited for the Xanadu launch. I did some 3d models/texturing for them when I was in school and now I'm sitting in the office working on some (minor mostly) 3d stuff. When I get back into the office tomorrow I'll ask if its Ok for me to post some stuff I'm working on here.

new server is a good idea tbh since there will be a tonne of free space and resources

What I've learned so far: new players spawning on xanadu, don't spawn in newspring, it's in the middle of an island in the middle of nowhere.

this settlement i joined with atazs is p cool, hopefully gonna be 200x200 eventually

Started playing this game today. Set out west from the area I started in and came to a cliff, from the cliff I could see down to a shoreline where some tents were pitched. I ventured down and met up with a couple of friendly guys who taught me how to make a boat and forage for food. Pitched my camp next to theirs and logged off. So far the community for this game is far better than any survival game I've ever played. I could only imagine how that situation would have turned out if I had been playing dayz or rust or some shit. Later I will finish my boat and journey north where I will prospect for land good enough to build a house on.

you're trying to build a boat on a new character? do you mean a raft or what, because last time i tried even that took a heck of a lot of carpentry skill
