alliance is only getting $37,391, lol.
"only" It's nothing on the top prize, but it's a hell of a lot more than I've ever been paid for playing a game
"only" It's nothing on the top prize, but it's a hell of a lot more than I've ever been paid for playing a game
problem is that it gets split between all 5+manager+a bunch of other shit, so its really 'not that much' at all for dedicating several hours every day to constant practice
alliance is only getting $37,391, lol.
On top of that the "BREAKING: KELLY HAS NEW BOYFRIEND!" comments.
this is their full time job.
it isn't at least not for akke

They've played tournements earlier this year that had less than that as top prize. $40k is still a lot of money for them. Just because it's dwarfed by the top prize doesn't mean it's an insignificant amount
Not even EG could throw this hard. I swear, the mouz tag is cursed.
Pajkatt is playing one of the worst Prophet's I've ever seen. He just isn't doing anything in teamfights, he isn't getting pushing done and every time I fight ends he's just walking off to some corner of the map with full HP.
Mouz has taken the reins from Alliance and aim to follow in their steps. Although poorly.

Antimage sold his heart for abyssal. When he still has a battlefury.
Antimage sold his heart for abyssal. When he still has a battlefury.
Not a bad move actually. If he gets caught he's dead either way, heart or no heart. He needs the battle fury to push out the mega creeps.
Not a bad move actually. If he gets caught he's dead either way, heart or no heart. He needs the battle fury to push out the mega creeps.
Could have bough a courier and swapped inventories.
Antimage sold his heart for abyssal. When he still has a battlefury.
He needs the battlefury to clear the mega waves Meanwhile, if he get's chain stunned or caught in the black hole not even a heart is gonna save him It seems strange, but it's the best thing to do

I'm sad that alliance is out, but I guess it's expected, they haven't been playing good recently. Still I'm kinda mad at all the hate they're getting, metas change all the time and Alliance perfected it the last TI.
I dont dismiss the strategy, its just fucking boring as hell to watch and I normally just do something else while its going on even if the enemy team counters it, it still drags on 40+ minutes every time
I don't know if Sheever worked on her English or something, but the last time I listened to her cast or talk I really hated her accent. For me, it made her unbearable to listen to. Listening to her at the desk for these round robin games, she's way more tolerable now. I don't even mind her now.
her accent flares up if she has less time to think about her words like during casts, if she's relaxed her english is fine i think a lot of foreigners have that
Being better at English also means you don't have to think about your wording as much, no?
I'm sad that alliance is out, but I guess it's expected, they haven't been playing good recently. Alliance couldn't. It was pure coincidence that their game was the game at the time. Rotate the time tables 6 months and either direction and they are merely a notably above average team. Regardless of how much of a whiny bitch I think Loda is, as a team they have very little flexibility in their overall strategy. They farm well, and they have extremely good map awareness and global positioning. It's hard to force them off balance. If you do, they completely and utterly collapse. They simply lack the explosive playmakers and varied lane combinations that other teams rely on, and that has been consistently biting them in the ass.
Dude, that's like 5k per person after organizations cut and taxes. You gotta remember this is their full time job.
Did you guys forget that they each got like $300,000 last year for winning? They could just stop working for four years and be fine.
Don't forgot that in Sweden, 300,000 dollars is alot less then in the USA(due to the weak dollar). Not to mention that Sweden is pretty expensieve even if you don't have to pay taxes for the money(Valve did that righht?).
Wait, im a bit confused, it isnt the main event where they compete for 10 mil, is it? What is it then? Why is there still money involved?
http://www.dota2.com/international/overview/ there is money for every team above 13/14th. only 2 teams go without, in this case it is [sp]Na'Vi.US and Arrow Gaming[/sp].
Oh dear TL RAT Naga vs. LGD Tree, this should be interesting.
well, 30k is sort of a pittance compared to the other prizes for the people who actually got in
Hey man if I was getting 30k to play dota sign me the fuck up :v:
8th place still gets money while everyone that get eliminated doesn't get shit meaning they have to at least qualify for SOME money
But still, they aren't playing the main Interinational matches, do they? Shouldn't they be at 17-22? So, wait, does this also mean that Alliance will not play International at all? What about Na'Vi and virtus.pro?
This Treant + Centaur from LGD is screwing up Liquid so bad.

Na'Vi are in the third phase, they will attend the main event irregardless of their results tomorrow. Virtus.pro were knocked out on the first day during the Wildcard by MVP.Phoenix.
