I was hoping it could at least turn out interesting as a coop game as I have no intention of ever playing a competitive gamemode on this when I could play CSS but as it turns out there's 5 missions, 3 of which are basically a tutorial, the other two as far as I can see you just rush through the whole level and likely get fucked royally by the boss fight Whatever developer thought that I should be using a web browser (assuming the website actually works, I'm staring at a blank page in the unlikely hope I could give it another try, likely because the servers are overloaded) and constatly go from windowed to full screen and vice versa after every loading screen causing the whole browser to lock up needs to get dragged in the street and shot
The 3 missions with varying difficulity are dailies and change each day.
There's something about the style of visuals they're going for that I don't like. It somehow has that korean F2P shooter feel going on.
i uhh, I can't load up GFACE for whatever reason
Is it just as clunky, stiff, and boring as Crysis 2-3? I bet it is.
Crysis 3 no nanosuit was the best infantry only game I've ever played, tbh.
i truly hate the fact weapons have that stupid " durability " bar, spent endless hours to buy that weapon you wanted so much? now you have to spend about x10 your money just to " maintin " your weapon

Ok I really hate the fact that the game is launched and all that through the browser.. but it has potential
Gface doesn't work for my firefox at all.... On Chrome it does, but it still is very clunky as fuck... in last 20 minutes I have yet to be able to play any game, due to being stuck at receiving kevlar gloves for 6th time now, game can't proceed after it. Restarting for the 7th as we speak.
So is this worth checking out?
30 minutes ago I signed up for the website and still haven't received my confirmation email yet.
Yes, completely disregard the classes and mod system. That still doesn't answer my question, of course you played in close beta. And I'm pretty sure CB and OB is just for testing purposes.
because classes/loadouts aren't in every single modern fps game nowadays right? also what's so special about the modding system? the fact that you have to unlock them one by one and that it's about the same as any other game with classes/loadouts? or the fact that you have to choose between progressing towards mods, gear, or weapons? don't know why you're defending this generic ass game so much. do you even play video games?
oh boy should i add a suppressor to my gun or change my scope from x1.5 to x3?? you're honestly grasping at straws here.
This is a Peer 2 Peer shooter, with a 40 FoV, weapons that you buy using real money or grind to own, that are in every way better than the starting ones. The EU/NA version uses a browser plugin to play, which gives you as much graphics/mouse options as a flash game would, if you have a gaming mouse that uses high DPI or anything better than a standard office mouse, you're likely to experience aggressive mouse acceleration at all times with no way of turning it off. Overall, the animations, looks and feel of the game just punches you in the face and screams "CHEAP!". The Tutorial zones even before they updated them give you a glimpse of what the game was trying to do, and it seemed interesting and slightly new, but when you actually get to play the real game, everything changes to for the worst. Everything. The PvP is dreadful in every single way imaginable. Guns feel and sound bland, since it's Peer 2 Peer the connection is blatantly unplayable and the maps are half the size of a map you'd find in CoD. The game features sliding, which is broken in terms of physics (momentum) as well as gameplay (people slide at you in every opportunity if they've played it for more than a few days). The Co-Op is cobbled together, you have some shitty linear maps that you walk through killing hundreds of NPCs with the worst A"I" you've ever seen. It's awful, and you'd be better off playing any other competitive FPS out there than considering giving this a go. You could get BF3 for $5. Anything is better than this.
[editline]21st October 2013[/editline] if you honestly think this game is polished then it's not worth even speaking to you and listening to your opinion.
how are you going to argue that the mod system is significant when you just stated "x3 scope or reflex should be the only thing you really need to choose between in the game" are you reading your posts??? [editline]21st October 2013[/editline] and surprise surprise nobody is talking about crysis 2 or 3 because it's already established that it has garbage multiplayer.
My first game was a pistol only TDM. By 2 minutes in it was 4v8 with me on the smaller side, and by the end I had 22 kills and 11 deaths, all these guys with their mlg $$$ pistols were calling me a hacker. I played the co-op a bit too. I don't like how you have to play the easier difficulties before you can do the harder ones, it was just a waste of time since they weren't challenging whatsoever, but skilled and I imagine hardcore are great. It's a very fun game but it seems to have issues with lag in adversarial and the whole f2p model reminds me of a game called Alliance of Valiant arms or AVA - You gotta grind for years for a single decent gun which expires or degrades after a given period of time. I'm not a big fan of the restriction of Medics to only shotguns, it would be nice to give them SMGs too or go BF3 mode and have certain weapons that all classes can use. Still, I really enjoy it.
Yeah, the game has many flaws but also a few golden moments, especially with good teammates.
God this game looks awful
P2W /thread
Not so much "Pay to win" as "Pay to do slightly better". Like I said I was destroying people who'd shelled out to get stuff with just the starter weapons Case in point: [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/wqCPq2d.jpg[/img_thumb] I mean a 1.86 K/D ratio is nothing stellar by any means, but with just the starting weapons it's hardly pay to win. You can get the vast majority of stuff with the in-game cash too. The co-op is probably more fun than adversarial but I've yet to play it with more than 2 other people
i've been playing this recently as a substitute for not having a computer that can run any decent online fps and i can't quite work out if its shitty or a decent take on the whole "shoot people till their soul comes out in the form of '+100'", but considering half the players are absolute wank despite actually having spent money on the game, it's been keeping me occupied. i wish it had a less random upgrade tree, but i guess thats how they get people to pay. downtown is a pretty great map tho.
