And there goes Old World Blues. Man was that a hilarious pain in the ass. Time to repair my equipment, stock up on ammo, and start on Lonesome Road.
Save even more frequently than usual, and watch out for satchels!
Bring explosives, you'll need it for the Deathclaws
Ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I couldn't even clear out Quarry Junction. Please tell me there aren't any big Deathclaws.
It would have been cool if one of the factions for New Vegas could have been the BoS. Like you could take control and lead them to conquer the Mojave and give them a new age of prosperity.
Ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuck. I couldn't even clear out Quarry Junction. Please tell me there aren't any big Deathclaws.
Lonesome Road will kick your arse. And in a slightly less bullshit way than the bullet-sponge, blink-and-respawn ways of OWB.
Lonesome Road will kick your arse. And in a slightly less bullshit way than the bullet-sponge, blink-and-respawn ways of OWB.
So far, I like the flavor of arse-kicking it has.

Welp, that's it. Finally finished the main quest + all DLC. Lonesome Road was better than I expected. I like how it managed to be difficult without resorting to cheap methods. Also they did a fantastic job of making the area feel like it was totally wrecked and ruined. Makes the Capital and Mojave wastelands look like paradise. Now to use my Explorer perk to find the rest of the locations, then download tons of mods until the game becomes so unstable I can't play it!
Is there any mod that adds the rock it launcher to nv?I loved that gun
I have begun to replay Fallout 3 and I'm planning on blowing up Megaton... Is it worth it?
I have begun to replay Fallout 3 and I'm planning on blowing up Megaton... Is it worth it?
If you want to be a bad guy and lower tour karma to the lowest yes But megaton people are cool
If you want to be a bad guy and lower tour karma to the lowest yes But megaton people are cool
Because I thought I could just do all the quests and take the bobble head etc. and then persuade Birke to make it another 500 caps. I could also just get my karma back by doing that water exploit. But I haven't decided yet.

After doing all the megaton quests you are most likely quite high level anyway, and a couple of caps are no problem

But just one more question: Moira survives, so I wonder if I can still do the survival guide? I guess not but I can't be totally sure.

Actually, you can. She'll move to Underworld where you can resume it from there.
Is there any mod that adds the rock it launcher to nv?I loved that gun
I was wondering this too. The Rock It Launcher is fucking amazing. Something about picking up random shit and launching that shit at your enemies is satisfying.
Actually, you can. She'll move to Underworld where you can resume it from there.
Holy shit that's great. Thanks for the info! [editline]6th August 2013[/editline] Wow. Fallout 3 is such a badly coded piece of trash. Any way to prevent it from randomly crashing and freezing every two minutes?
Damn it, I can't seem to get Tale of Two Wastelands to install. I'm told to use install.exe, but all I have is TTW Patcher.exe. Also, when I try using that. it fails to extract BSAopt x64.exe for some reason.

I recall seeing someone else with a similar problem. Here, found it for you: http://www.taleoftwowastelands.com/content/problem-bsaopt-maybe Hopefully that helps!

Would that even do anything?
I just wrote up an essay about why I much prefer F3 over NV. I guess nobody would read that anyway, so I think I'll just say that I much prefer F3 over NV.
I just wrote up an essay about why I much prefer F3 over NV.
I would, because I feel like NV is better in most ways, and I'm curious as to why somebody else would think F3 is better.
I prefer F3 to NV but I wouldn't necessarily say it's better. My opinion is skewed by playing F3 on pc and NV on xbox, and playing F3 when I was younger so my nostalgia goggles are on.
Fo3 is alot more fun to explore because everything isn't super condensed and rushed and anything that isn't important is just bare and empty.
imho if Obsidian were allowed to take their time when they were making New Vegas there would basically be no competition. i really, really hope they get to make the next Fallout
I would, because I feel like NV is better in most ways, and I'm curious as to why somebody else would think F3 is better.
Well to break it down into a few points: 1. I liked the atmosphere better. It was darker and there was more destruction and radiation. 2. It was more down to point. There's this town infested with giant ants, kill them all and help this kid find a new home if you would. You don't have to seek a special person to give you the quest, and they won't bore you with useless details. 3. The factions aren't that distinct and don't matter that much. NV works around the idea of different factions, with different complex storylines and motives. In F3 you have the good guys and the bad guys. The good guys help you every now and then and the bad guys want you dead every now and then, but they don't control the wasteland or anything. 3. The RPG elements in F3 were honestly enough, NV has too many of them. All of these reasons are subjective and I don't think there's a point in arguing with them. Everybody has different preferences. I like games being simple where I want them to and complex where I want them to. NV is just complex all over. That is probably the main reason why people like it, but it's nothing for me. Not that I don't like thinking when I play games, but not in the way NV forces me to think, that bores me in a similar way as a history lesson.
So you liked Fallout 3 more because you don't like RPGs?
Ok looking at modding new vegas before I get back into it. Y'all got any recommendations?
I like Fallout3 more than New Vegas because it reminds me of home. It take place where I live. The dad of one of my good friends voiced Mr.Burke. Shit, even my home town is in there. Fo3 may not have the best story, or the greatest gameplay, but it feels like home to me. Oh also, I fucking adore the Coin Shot ammo in New Vegas. I can now tell everyone that my gun shoots money. Does anyone know of any good mods that adds a gun that uses 12 gauge ammo? I made over 700 rounds of coin shot and I'm going to use it.
